The Google Wifi app will no longer be supported and will be removed from Google Play in June.
We’re moving the control of OnHub and Google Wifi devices to the Google Home app. You can easily migrate your Google Wifi network into the Google Home app, where you’ll be able to control your Wi-Fi network and other connected products in one place.
When you migrate, you’ll get features like: Improved video conferencing on Google Meet and Zoom. Better insights on your network, whether it’s a notification when a new device joins your network or detailed insights for troubleshooting a bad internet connection. More ways to control your Wi-Fi. Use Google Assistant to pause Wi-Fi or check your internet speed hands-free.
After the Google Wifi app is removed, you’ll need to use the Google Home app to add new devices, or to modify, expand, or create networks.

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★The old WiFi app worked just fine. The new app wants to setup the network again but it can't even find my OnHub. I have cleared the cache and settings, uninstalled and reinstalled. Still no good. Let me download and use the old app. Support is telling me I have to do a hard reset and setup everything again. 15 devices on the network with dedicated IP addresses. I will yank my G devices and Fi phone service and replace them if I have to do this.
1 ★Garbage. Impossible to use, constantly needs resetting which means you have to add every device again and again in your house. Google messed up with this one.
5 ★So far the best router I've had. You control it in-app right from your phone, from anywhere. Ability to block unwanted connected devices and create schedules to turn off the wifi by devices. Parental controls are awesome and you can check how great your service is running at anytime. Would be even greater if I could manually disconnect instead of blocking unwanted devices.
3 ★Twice in the last month the app has thrown a tantrum and stopped internet to our devices. There is no error message given, no indication on the wifi point lights. You use your expensive mobile data, not knowing your home wifi internet has gone down. You waste lots of time checking your home network cabling, ringing your provider, cycling modems etc. The first time it took me days to work out it was the Google wifi app and hardware that was the problem. Only fixed by restarting Google wifi app.
4 ★Works pretty well for managing a Google WiFi Network. It is a bit of a hassle to delete an old thread, but the only major issue is lack of control: I'd like to be able to pick a wifi point a device is connecting to. Too often, a gadget will hook up to a Point across the house instead of one in the same room.
1 ★Support for Google Nest WiFi doesn't really exist. I've been getting useless emails from someone who sounds like L0 copy/paste triage agent for months now. Google won't even assign someone who knows the product to test if both this App and the Home App, also the Google WiFi Router are broken when one tries to add even 100 devices with static IP and meaningful names. The wireless port won't come up after so many are added and Google has no clue what the limit is. Why would the app not error out?
5 ★I'm sure it's is great for people with Google WiFi hardware, but I was looking for a replacement for my buggy Samsing built in wifi controller. It gives out wrong error messages like "Password incorrect" could also mean WiFi signal Too Strong! Samsung Overlays... I wish they would stick to making Great hardware and leave critical software to experts! I wrote about it in the Samsung Community, but my post was deleted. Makes me wonder what game are they playing?
1 ★The low grade is mostly for the Wi-Fi cares support for the app. I've got an edge case, I previously used this app with the TP-LINK on hub router. Officially supported, but it left two null named networks on the account. Google isn't or too slow to fux The app is useless when used my normal gmail account. The work around of using another email account causes headache with paid service,. WiFi care reads me a script that doesn't reflect what is showing in the app.
1 ★AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This thing works just as well as my stock router and also disconnects without reason semi-constantly. It also only """extends""" the wifi signal by about 1 and a half meters (or however long your Ethernet cable is) since you have to plug it into the router for it to work. Again, don't buy it.
5 ★Gutted that this app is being retired in favour of Google Home which really doesn't integrate the Google wifi features very well, and it's hard to find wifi settings
5 ★Man do I get a kick out of how simple this app makes having Google WiFi. Show your passcode to friends to log on to your WiFi with ease. Manage devices connected to your network. Restart the WiFi. Just simple easy access to all things network. I'm grateful to have reliable internet and home network from Google.
3 ★Software is fine when it works. It is rather stupid though. It keeps saying that I am offline. If that were true then I would not be able to post this review from my tablet connected thru my onhub.
