A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★Google Voice is now broken to the point of near uselessness. As of Nov/Dec 2023, Voice no longer allows access to the microphone when switching screens. The makes it impossible to read off an account number, etc. to the person you're speaking with. The microphone also turns off when the screen turns off during a call.
2 ★Still having trouble with other side of call hearing me. At first problem was just when connected via Bluetooth. Today, after trying to clear the app cache, the other side can't hear me even if I place the call using the speakerphone. I have to toggle back to phone audio and then back to speaker phone to be heard. App is basically useless right now as far as convenience is concerned. All the problems started after the recent update and continue.
3 ★The most recent update has broken my ability to receive Google Voice number calls thru Android Auto. Only the device rings. The only reason I know I'm receiving a GV phone call is because the audio from the head unit (radio, stream, etc) cuts out. I'm forced to answer my Google Voice call from the phone itself but it still transmits the audio through the Bluetooth on the car. I used to be able to receive calls with both device phone app and the Google Voice app. S23+ with all apps updated.
3 ★Google allows you to forward to one Google Voice number calls placed to multiple numbers that you have. This app also allows cheap international calling, and calling from my Google voice number (with wifi) anytime whether I'm overseas or at home - so I have the same number overseas!! The iOS version of this program has Alphabetical selection of contacts, which would be a great addition to this version also. The developers listen very well and respond quite well to issues. Thanks!!
1 ★I lose microphone access when Voice runs in the background. I see I am not the only one with this issue. The same application version works fine on a device I have with Android 9 but not on Android 13 Samsung Galaxy. As soon as the application goes in the background the small green dot disappears and the other party cannot hear me anymore. It works again if I bring the app back in foreground. I tried what was suggested to other users (uninstall, reinstall, clear cache, etc..) nothing works.
4 ★Been using Google Voice for all calls\texts, for over 10yrs. It DOES send GIFs & stickers (try gBoard if you don't see that option), but it has no RCS support & won't send video clips either (no matter how short); it's GIFs or nothing. Don't link *OR* "port" your number to Google Voice unless you really want to (it's better for them than for you & not necessary). Hangouts handled carrier SMS\MMS + GVoice SMS\calls in one app, but no longer. Notifications are now set in system menus (not in app).
1 ★After the most recent update the app stops using the microphone if I switch apps or if the screen goes off. I'm using a Google app on a Google pixel phone running default Google Android and it can't make calls right? Not a great look Google. Replying to Devs: the permission is set to allowed, the catch had been cleared and uninstalled and reinstalled the app. It did not help.
1 ★I've had Google Voice for about 14 years, and the quality of calls is terrible now. Every phone call is full of crackling to the point that the parties can't hear each other. It's incredibly frustrating because I can't find a fix for it. I also can't send or receive videos or gifs. I'm considering leaving it behind for good and using my carrier number from here on out.
2 ★12.2024 so many issues. It gets okay for a day or two then 4 more problems pop up. Now the microphone turns off if you navigate to another app during a call so other side can't hear you. since forever, at least half the calls have a good 2 or 3 second delay in sound making conversations very awkward to impossible. iPhone version freezes on every touch. Used for years, but quality is so untrustworthy now actively looking for another service.
1 ★Does not work with Bluetooth headphones. Sure, you'll get a hangup sound, and there's even an option to use Bluetooth, but your headphones just won't work for a call. Billions of dollars each quarter and they can't get this simple thing right. Uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared Bluetooth cache and data. Nothing works. Developer's links go to help areas that are well out of date. And locked. With no definitive solutions. Thank God I didn't perma-link GV to this device the way it keeps pushing me.
5 ★My resume includes a reliable legacy phone number that serves as a preferred and efficient contact method. It functions as a switchboard, forwarding calls and translating messages, covering all core phone functions number changed. SMS is a reliable fallback option. Video conferencing is my only regret, as it adds a personal touch to messaging. Hoping for future advancements in group video conferencing.
1 ★Need to fix what they broke ASAP! After a recent update the app only allows microphone access when the app is in use. If I take a work call and go to look something up, the mic no longer works and the person on the phone can't hear me but I can hear them. S23 Ultra VZW. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, but until an update comes out nothing is going to change. I can see the green dot icon in the upper right corner of my phone screen go away when I leave the app. This is a GV problem!
