1 ★When casting audio books it constantly unpauses itself and starts playing. Even if the app is closed. When listening to audio books across different devices it doesn't sync which defeats the point of having multiple devices recognising me. About an hour on chat and they were worse than useless. Going back to Audible and Kindle.
2 ★It was great until recently but it stopped showing similar books for purchased books. It recommends trash now and is hard to find good books. I prefer previous settings. Book recommendations are now horrible. I might switch to audible if this trend continues.
4 ★My go to app whenever I have free time. So easy to use and such vast varieties of book. However recently whenever I click"about this book" It is not showing me anything makes it really hard for me to decide if the book is gonna be something I like or not. Please fix it soon. Would've given 5 star if not for that.
1 ★There is a huge problem in this version - when copying a higlighted text, the highlight is removed. This happens only if you have highlighted the text a few seconds ago. If the text is copied after a couple of minutes of highlighting it, the bug is not observed. Please resolve this after which i will update the rating. Thanks
5 ★Add the following features 1. Blur/erase option for the text, 2. Underline option, 3. Hand drawing mark option, 4. Book transfer option to friends with a charge of 10% or 20% of the book price, 5. Show the publication date & file size in the about section, 6. Update/upgrade of books after publication of new edition, 7. Copy text option, 8. Fix the blur-text while zooming, 9. Add various filter options while searching books, 10. Voice change & speech speed change option. Thanks 😍😊
2 ★I wish we could create custom book shelves and organizers our library better. Some titles I bought are missing in my library but I can find the in the store saying purchased. Another issue I'm having are the ridiculous prices. My manga ebooks were $6.99 per volume and now most of them went up to $10.99, almost twice the price. $10.99 is the physical copy retail. This is my most used book app but they aren't Keeping up with the times.ALL OF MY BOOK MARKS IN MY BOOKS ARE GONE T-T
2 ★The app is great but there is abuse in the review system which can mislead you into buying books that are no good. Look at the reviews for any actual content listed in there. When the reviewer says a bunch of generic things that could apply to any situation then chances are that is an account that has been hired to give 5 star ratings to sell more book copies. There needs to be a reporting process and vetting of these reviews. Simply saying the review was not helpful does not work.
5 ★I love this app because they have brilliant books to read! I'm mad about history and I've had some great finds in this app. There are many other genres to like gardening, housework tips. To romance and biography's to spiritualism. The app s easy to use and pay for your books. Often with money off specials! One of my favourite apps!
3 ★Fine for importing your library and reading the books (good options for setting the display how you want it), but half the time I open it, even when it's still been open but not at the forefront, it will have closed my book and be back on the main shop screen. It's just another tap to reopen my book, but it shouldn't do that at all. When I'm reading a book, I just want to keep reading it when I open my reading app, not be shown a store to buy more books.
1 ★I just had a very bad experience dealing with Google Support about refunds for E-Books. Do not trust the 7 day returns policy for E-Book refunds listed in the Refund Policy. They refused it and wouldn't give me straight answers. My reason was 'It's within 7 days, and I no longer want the book.' 48 hours works, I've done it before. But after 7 days they mess you about, and I got this from 'Steve' in the chat. 'We would not be able to help you with refund for the book purchase as it is disapproved from our end. Refund decsions are totaly automatic and we can´t change once the tool disapproved the refund.' - Steve from Google Support (Yes he made those spelling errors in the chat!) 'I understand that you’d like a specific reason for the rejection, but our refund policy states that most Google Play purchases are not eligible for refunds and any refunds offered are a one-time courtesy.' Please be careful with any purchases and make sure you refund books within 48 hours. They don't stick to their own policy after 48 hours.
3 ★I like google books the selection of books is endless. It's easy to read the books on the app and until more recently i didnt have any complaints. There are definetly inconsistency's in the Search Bar and it has been brought to Googles Attention. It is after i factory reset the phone that i noticed the app is supposd to come downloaded and it's asking me to download the app or update the app. i don't expect the creators to have the option to automatic updates but my app is buggin.
4 ★This is such a nice app where we can read multitude of book easily with the availability of online dictionary. And we can also highlight the favourites and save it under the notes. But what I facing is flaw- there is 'NO OPTION' to copy the text or your favourites and share it to anyone not even in your personal folder. Hope this will be fix soon.
