Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★(1) I didn't see a place to give feedback or report bugs in the app or app settings. (2) Every time I start a new session, the app tries to get me to open the okay store and it goes to a listing for Amazon music. Doesn't matter what I'm doing or what my tab is. It will prompt me every time. Maybe I'll uninstall and reinstall to try to fix it, but it didn't used to do that and no other browser has ever done that.
1 ★Below average search intelligence, worsened by throttling points. Over the last several months, maybe even a year, I began using edge & Bing search more & more because of a combination of average search results, but compensated by points that could be redeemed in the form of gift cards. With Microsoft's recent change of throttling points to every 15 minutes/3 searches, it's no longer worth it. Plus, it's no longer possible to even earn all the daily points because of this limit.
3 ★I've had some problems with the read aloud mode. It does a great job formatting the text into an easy to read page and the read aloud sounds great. The problem is it likes to crash after reading for about a minute and then freezes up the entire browser. I like the AI ChatGPT function it's really helpful just looking up random things. the app is also a little slow to load.
2 ★This was my favorite browser. I enjoyed many of the features Edge offers. Lately, the browser has been so glitchy. Clearing data has improved recently. Before, clearing history was often impossible. Now, read aloud no longer works in the background, and currently, it won't let me change any of these features settings. It seems to always be something at some point. For some reason, i no longer have access to Bingchat, which is a really big deal. I am sick of uninstalling reinstalling 😮‍💨
4 ★They fixed they ability to skip the new tab page! Love it! Bumped up 1 star. Now I would love to see the ability to set mobile/desktop mode independently per site. Some sites, including Microsoft sites, have very limited functionality in Mobile mode, while others have advanced functionality in Mobile mode. As of now I have to continually toggle back and forth.
2 ★I love the features that Edge offers, particularly collections which sync to all of my devices. Edit: as of September 2023, Edge is awful. They ruined collections, and the current release has bugs where it keeps switching to desktop view when clicking hyperlinks even though my default is set to mobile (this bug went away for several releases, then returned.)
4 ★This is my favorite browser for Android no matter what else I try. You can even log into your Microsoft device to sync up all of your data. While I do love the browser, the Collections part of the app is becoming annoying. Very annoying. I've lost entire lists of Collections and I'm still having a problem where the browser menu doesn’t activate after I select the three bars in the lower right corner. This issue has been a problem on multiple devices and makes this app unreliable.
3 ★Edge is one of the best browsers ever existed, the only problem in your mobile browser is the slow launching, whenever i launch the browser it takes very long time compared to other chromium based browsers, for example the splash screen is not needed, and the e app goes to sleep only few seconds in the background. So I'll give it 3 stars only as long as the loading time is not optimized. Thank you.
2 ★I just can't seem to get over muscle memory to tabs being on the top of the screen with the address bar, like the majority of other browser apps. This has no setting to change it. Having it at the bottom of the screen may work for many, but for some, it's an unnecessary step and annoyance when trying to navigate quickly to "hunt" for something. You'd think having the choice for top or bottom would be there.
3 ★Edge is very convenient, intuitive, and seems not so eager to greedily consume resources just to function, but it does have its problems such as reading text aloud not working for only highlighted/selected text and the browser randomly switching between desktop mode and mobile mode without any user input—the latter being the worst of the noticeable bugs Edge has. The "Close all tabs" button could have also been in a better location.
2 ★What I like is that the address bar is down at the bottom. To me, everything could use some polish. -Lately, words near the right margin consistently have letters skip to the next line, which is frustrating. Happens every website I visit. Mostly headings and other text like that. -Tabs consistently rearrange themselves at will. -Bookmarks or favorites just don't feel right to me, but I'm more accustomed to Samsung's browser.
3 ★Does not provide much incentive to use vs other browser apps, even as someone who only uses Edge on PC. Missing a lot of features that I like Edge for. It's an fine browser, it does the job, but it fails to stand out much from other apps, like Chrome. It doesn't support Tab Groups, a feature I use a lot. It also doesn't support the address bar being on the bottom. (you know, where our thumbs are...) For me the tab previews are also broken, so my tab view is just a bunch of grey empty boxes.
