A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★The clarity isn't the best and a lot of the time it will show someone after they have been in an area for a few seconds (up to 5 seconds... which is a lot!) and then you can only see what they do after that point in time. So... it's not necessarily ideal for quick, snatch and grab crime, but it will at least record what happened with someone or something (an animal?) after it starts recording. The audio is sub par to have a real conversation with someone, while distorting both ends of audio. 🫤
2 ★The newest update changed the snooze option. I utilize this feature daily and not happy with changing the duration. Before, this was a simple route, device, camera, snooze, and SLIDE. Now, there are even more steps to move 3 devices to snooze in order to not wake my family when I get home every morning. Thanks for adding more steps for me to walk in the door. If you want to impress make a way to link items to snooze all at once.
3 ★not bad. It would be nice to have continuous recording not just a snap shot. The motion pickup is laggy, It lags behind once a motion is detected, by the time it starts recording it's just the back of the person, it does not happen everytime. If someone runs by it is even worse. This is in an apartment hallway so the motion zone is not far at all, from my side of the wall to the other it is maybe 20 feet. continuous recording will fix that.
2 ★Recording doesn't start when motion is tripped like it used to when I first purchased my Ring. Now, whatever tripped the sensor is long gone, hence not really a security benefit anymore. The platform upgrades or "enhancements" (if that's what you want to call them) over the last two years, actually aren't enhancements at all. Each one has caused greater delay than better efficiency.
3 ★Three stars because this is my second Ring camera since the first one wasn't picking up ANY MOVEMENT whatsoever so I had to buy another. This next one does much better to pick up motion, however, it still misses some. I'd give it about 75% motion detection out of 100% vs the first one that picked up about 10% motion only. Improvement. But, that first one & this next one do not work if there isn't any direct light on them, such as the sun or actual electricity VERY close by. Booooo!!
3 ★I like it. Everything works well for the most part. I really enjoy getting the notifications. There are a few things that knock off stars for me. *The solar charging panel isn't available and I have to unscrew the device from outside to charge about every 2 months. Not ideal. *It doesn't always capture things. It misses me leaving the house sometimes. I walk right in front of it. I can look at the live camera and there will be a package on my porch but the camera never recorded the delivery.
3 ★Service is Average. Sometimes, I have issues with recording. Attempt to talk the person on camera, and they can't hear what I'm saying. but when you watch it back, I can hear myself talk just fine. The range/zone you can set for your camera to pick up motion is a joke as it doesn't activate your camera until they're darn near right at your camera. The price you pay for their service per year doesn't match the quality you would expect for what you are paying for.
3 ★I do like the ring doorbells, but they tend to have a clear coat over the lens that peels with age, and the sensitivity seems to fade with motion detection. The age is approximately 2 years old. I'll keep them for now, but I'm definitely looking at all of their competitors' options. I did buy a refurbished one, and I DO NOT advise doing that as the speaker on that particular one is so grainy that I shut off the sound to it.
1 ★11/10/2023: Still annoyed. Motion zones are still a joke. Update: 12/28/19 A lot has changed since my original review. The motion settings for my spotlight cam are totally different and I now receive too many notifications. I don't get the motion alerts that I want, but instead cars driving by on the very edge of my view. These shouldn't even trigger motion. First I had no alerts, then it worked well for 3 months, now I have too many alerts and it is missing the important things.
1 ★Bought a house with ring doorbell already installed. Worked fine for a couple months but now it won't even connect to wifi. I've tried everything the app says. I can't even find the device anymore in wifi settings. I've tried setting it up as new device and nothing works. I'm frustrated, but thankful that I didn't subscribe. I will definitely look into something more reliable.
2 ★Hit and miss! I've tried every possible solution, and regardless of what I do with notifications, uninstall and reinstall, sign out and then sign in to network again. It's doing this new thing where I can go into history and clearly see the motion was detected, yet it only decides to give me notifications like one out of five times... WTH!!! 😡
2 ★It's great getting a notification every single time a car with headlights drives on my street at night. Also great when family is in the yard and ring feels the need to tell me every 30 seconds someone is in the yard. Only option is to turn notifications off entirely. Would be wise to introduce sensitivity settings and a setting to not have the same notifications spammed from the same camera in such a short period of time.
