2 ★I have to switch to the desktop version of many sites lately just to type text, in a text field. It's the only way to get the standard keyboard to show with a return key. Otherwise Brave thinks you're in a password field and want your password manager to be showing with ZERO way to change this behavior. Super frustrating, and a huge waste if time. 6 MONTHs later and another update that ruins text fields browser wide, plus many more introduced bugs. Really gets old.
5 ★Rating the Browser as a Whole - This Browser is ELITE. Speed Reader is by far my favorite feature. With this Browser I feel safe when Im on the web. I get more "BASED" search results than I would on lets say Google search. My Data is private which gives me peace of my mind. Its also simplistic in my view. Ad Blocking is the best. Within both App & Browser. Your giving reassurance back to users ! Thank You !
5 ★This browser was working amazing! Fast loading, and stopping malware and annoying, and obnoxious pop ups! Unfortunately it now only shows a black screen and isn't working. Please fix it and I'll give it 5 stars again! I'm going to update and hope it helps; but this review will remain this way until it gets fixed. Update: It works again! Thank you so much! 🥰
2 ★Annoying browser info pop-ups are killing this for me. Every time I close a tab an undo pop-up blocks the bottom tenth if the screen and stays on screen for 3-5min. No way to dismiss or disable. It blocks text, buttons and video controls. I used to use this browser to watch videos online without pop-ups, now the built in browser pop-up is more invasive and annoying then the ads its supposed to block.
5 ★Brave is trustworthy. It keeps all of your information private and tracker- free. It does not give or sell your info. to anyone. I can't recommend it more highly! p.s. they put up shields to protect you from trackers on websites but if you have a particular problem using all the functions within a given website (which can happen from time to time) you can go to the top of the screen and manually turn off the Brave shield for that website.
3 ★Great Effort. I applaud the effort. BRAVo! (pun Intended.) Regarding privacy. However your UI design continues to be pretty irritating and amateurish. Like a bunch of retards designed it and cant think outside a small box once they've put themselves into it Consequently, I only use it to stream sport streams and have a need to avoid that minefield of BS. In which Brave is quite effective at weeding out. So it continues to be a mixed bag for me, and one I will not use Another time perhaps.
5 ★The best alternative to Google Chrome. It has everything chrome offers without google's ads and tracking tools. Furthermore it provides security and ad-blocking features by default without having to install third-party ad-ons. It comes with an build-in search engine by default to minimize reliance on Google even more, but you have the option to switch to Google search if you wanted to.
5 ★Brave is probably one of my better choices I've made on my phone, as it protects my privacy and doesn't require me to log in. The adblocker is also incredibly convenient on certain websites. The only issues I've ever had is sometimes the browser blocks random websites from use, despite them being safe, for a few minutes. But that is a rare scenario, and I otherwise enjoy Brave much more than Chrome.
4 ★Would be perfect if: * They could easily import my passwords from. Chrome * They had an easy, unobtrusive button to turn off the add and tracker block so I can use all websites. If they do these things (1 shouldn't be difficult,they've been around four like 4 years). I won't use any other browser. If the want to stick with the "browsing earns you money," they'll need to make it more streamlined, understandable, and pay out an in real money.
5 ★Great browser. I have noticed that when shopping online orders will cancel. Recently attempted to purchase from vitamin shoppe and 2 others sites and orders say complete then minutes later I would receive email that they were cancelled or flagged. Originally thought it was because I was a first time shopper making a large purchase, that was until I tried this most recent order on chrome and didn't have any issues.
2 ★Great app, but for some reason recently on YouTube when popping a video into full screen, there's like an 80% chance the video gets stuffed into the bottom left corner with nearly all of the video being hidden out of bounds. I have to keep minimizing the video and putting it back into fullscreen to fix it and just hope it works. Clearing cache and reinstalling has not fixed it. Will change rating when this is no longer an issue. S23 Ultra on Android 14.
5 ★Absolutely great app and my favorite browser. Things that'd make nice additions: - A way to switch search engines in the address bar and the ability to add custom websites there - An option to allow screenshots in private tabs - Quick setting to switch zoom levels for a specific tab only When there's a video but no interface for it, not even a ⏪️⏩️ 10 seconds I gotta switch to Samsung internet browser. Their video player comes in clutch. Although that's probably too much for a third party app.
