Use Sound Amplifier to filter, augment, and amplify sounds around you and on your device.Available for devices with Android 8.1 and later. To start using Sound Amplifier, connect your headphones then go to Settings > Accessibility > Sound Amplifier or Settings > Accessibility > Downloaded apps.
Features
• Reduce unwanted noise to recognize speech better.
• Focus on a speaker’s voice in noisy environments with conversation mode. (Available for Pixel 3 and above.)
• Listen to conversations, TV, or lectures. For audio sources that are farther away, Bluetooth headphones are recommended. (Bluetooth headphones might have delayed sound transmission.)
• Personalize your listening experience for surrounding conversation or media playing on your device. You can reduce noise or boost low frequency, high frequency, or quiet sounds. Set your preferences for both ears or separately for each ear.

• Open Sound Amplifier more easily by adding it to your app list. In Sound Amplifier settings, turn on “Show icon in the app list”.

1 ★I needed do remove mic permission from Google App, otherwise, this app never works because "the mic is not available". Tryed a little and didn't notice any improvement in the sound. In fact, the environment voices was louder than in the app. Also, there is a big delay, even using device's mic or headphone's mic, thus, it's like listening to a bad eco

5 ★Wont let me change the settings to where the microphone being used is the microphone of my bluetooth earbuds, if I could, I could turn them into hearing aids, changing this could help old people around the world!!!!!!! so far in my search there are no apps on the store that do this, at least without having to record and waste storage, Google developers I plead with you to make this a better app, a better app to better this world, give up whatever gains are holding you from this path

5 ★Does exactly what it says it does - amplifies sounds picked up by your microphone and feeds them to a headset. I used it to find which of several farm hydrants was leaking water by turning up the volume and touching the end of my phone with the mic to a hydrant's metal. I could clearly hear the water gurgling out the bottom of the hydrant. If you get a crackling sound it is likely low frequency wind noise. Use this out of the wind. A high tone or squeal is feedback from the mic to headset.
4 ★Very good app, do what it say. I would like to have the chance to select my Bluetooth QC35 headset microphone instead of the one on my phone... Looks not possible to do so at this stage, microphone selection menu always disabled with only phone microphone as choice... Please keep improving :-)))

5 ★This app amplifies any sound like u wouldn't believe! U can hear conversations across the house or outside that other people r having that u aren't included in. Lol It's pretty awesome
5 ★The app made my bottom firing speaker (pixel 3a) crackle. Uninstalled and the problem went away instantly. I like the functionality but the issue with my speaker is a huge deal breaker for me. Edit: It seems that my speaker issue goes beyond just this app. The problem is most likely with the system software or hardware.
