Q: What is an APK File?

1 ★I have a general idea of how to get to my destination but want to travel a less congested but slightly longer route because the suggested route ALWAYS ends up being longer due to more frequent accidents. I HATE the aggressive route switching. I KNOW the route I'm on is longer but I CHOSE that route for specific reasons. We NEED a feature that allows us to pick an alternate route, even if one is not suggested, and we NEED to be able to switch the agressive rerouting suggestion off when necessary
3 ★What happend to the running tally when adding stops to a route? I used to be able to plan a route with time and mile totals before hiting done. Now i have to hit done then go back to rearrange stops and see totals. This is vey time consuming and a step backward from how this used to work. I travel all over the country using maps and that feature was very helpful. Please bring it back
1 ★Absolutely awful, how hard is it to allow me to set the exact route I want and not have your app rotate stops or make you take ridiculous ways when the end points are very direct. 20 years we've had maps and Google still hasn't gotten it down into refinement? Why should I have to start the route and choose to ignore their original directions to get the ones I want for a shorty? Just let me choose from the beginning. How has there been this much oversight? Anyone actually improving this anymore?
2 ★App removed my setting to "avoid toll roads" on its own! As a result, I was almost an hour late to a once in a lifetime event! I would have been early had I not had to try to eliminate the tolls on my own without knowing an alternate route. You'd think I could just ignore the instructions to get onto the tollway but for some reason that didn't work with this particular route, that had me using multiple highways! Maps is very glitchy. Oftentimes changes routes in the middle of navigation, etc.
2 ★The newest update sucks. The look of the update is fine. However, it removed the exit # I should be looking for when navigating somewhere. Only a handful of times it will show up 0.2 miles before the exit. NOT HELPFUL. Previously, it tells the exit like 5-10 miles ahead of time so we can slowly prepare and change lanes. Also, it freezes ALL the time and is SO slow to respond. I use maps daily living in a busy, large city and it's frustrating. PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!
1 ★Not sure what happened to this app, but it's garbage. For starters, why is it difficult to switch between driving/walking/etc? And why can't I add more than one stop or chane the order of waypoints after I start my route? I need to stop the navigation, reenter the stops, and then resort them. And for some reason, the do not disturb keeps turning back on by itself. For an app that boasts about being a hands-free app, it's anything but. And God forbid I choose my own route. Trash, trash, trash
3 ★I used to swear by this app. But it has been an awful experience ever since the rerouting feature was installed. It is dangerous to force a driver to opt out of a reroute within a few seconds while on the road. I frequently drive across the country and select my routes for a reason. I don't want to take the app offline to avoid the rerouting feature, as that would cause me to lose access to real-time traffic updates. Letting us know about an alternate route is fine; just don't force it on us!
3 ★Okay, I understand needing to not be incognito to edit a map, but.... 1) Why restart and make me re-search for the location to edit? and 2) What possible connection could there be between opening up an e-mailed map link and being signed in?! Update: a new complaint. It seems that now, once you've selected a location, you can't unselect it. Very odd way to worsen the UX.
1 ★Stop having the map "recommend" then automatically change to a new route when I have already chosen my original route! This "feature" has routinely taken what are supposed to be 30 minutes drives, and turned them into hour long drives because it changed the route with the only notice being a 10 second pop up, that if you don't hit "no" on just changes your route automatically. Also, if I hit "No, don't change my route" that doesn't give you carte blanch to try to change it again in 10 seconds.
2 ★Useless most of the time...better off using a paper map! Would say more about the app and how terrible it is lately, but it wouldn't even load the optional "tell us more", so here ya go! I'm going to use another app due to this one being terrible 😔... Luckily for me I am old enough that I learned how to read and use a paper map, but shouldn't have to considering it's almost 2024🤔🙄.... Seems like everybody is having issues with the app and nothing is being done to correct it....
2 ★Too many ads. Too many non-relative results. All results should be exact to search. And listed closest to farthest. After all that, then maybe some BS that is not what I am looking for. Fuel efficiency routes should be fuel efficient the whole rout and not changing every other turn. Addresses are more than often miss labeled, maps says doesn't exist, and or completely wrong location is given. Only the county emergency service can change an address. Takes a lot of planning to do that as well
1 ★A 1/2 mile away from my destination straight down the road, it decided to guide me on a detour consisting of three 90 degree turns (right, then left, then left to my destination) wasting around 5 minutes and 2 extra miles. There was no traffic to avoid or any reason to make this detour. This was not the first time it modified my route for no reason. In addition, the app turns off the speedometer feature randomly on its own and occasionally speaks thru Bluetooth when this option is turned off.
