1 ★I would leave zero stars if it was an option. App has failed to load for over a month. Tried to install latest version to see if anything changed, but samething... Opening splash screen begins to load then blows off and disappears. Already provided phone and OS version to mobile support as suggested, but nothing back other than, "Thanks for submitting".
1 ★Security update has made this app useless. Had to uninstall because it won't stay open. All other apps are fine with my device. Seems to think my phone has been jailbroken but it is not. Worked briefly now it again crashes every time i open it. Crazy that this app is more stringent than my multiple banking and airline apps. Fire the app staff.
1 ★I am unable to complete searches in the app. After selecting a destination and dates, it states something went wrong retry under the map. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but it has not made a difference. This rating is only because the app is not working. I do enjoy the hotel chain though! Usually clean and friendly
2 ★My account is under Chris but I made a reservation under Christopher since that is what is on my credit card. The app won't recognize them as the same person even though the email and phone are the same. You also can't use auto fill if it puts a space at the end of your name because it doesn't recognize that as the same either. Took about 10 minutes to figure out that was the problem.
1 ★This used to be the best app. Now, it barely ever works. It has trouble connecting, loading search results and checking my Bonvoy account. What a shame - used to be great and now works perhaps 10% of the time. Frustrating too since this was o e of the main reasons that I was loyal to Bonvoy and became a Titanium member. Marriott, please get it together!
1 ★Every time I log in, it asks me to confirm my identity by sending a code to either email or text message. Is that intended functionality? Because I switch between my husband's account and my own, it's an added frustrating step. Also, I've often seen his data in my account and vice versa. You may have opened a security risk with recent updates.
2 ★This app used to be great but lately it either takes a very loooong time to open or just freezes completely. The information available is great if you can get to it. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and still get the same issue each time. Very frustrating, especially when I'm traveling.
1 ★September 2023! Not sure what happened with that last update. This app on my Google Pixel 7 pro is a fail! Tries to open up and immediately chooses up tight can not get in to reserve any reservations at all! Thankfully there's T Mobile Tuesday perks And I just happen to have T Mobile home Wi-Fi! I can look up and reserve motel and hotel and apartment reservations at a T Mobile 40% discount! Since I can no longer use the Marriott Bon voy app.
1 ★2nd update: additional version released, still has the same problem. You should at least send ambassadors a free mobile device that the app DOES work on. Update: it started working for a while, now it has the same problem again, complaining it detects the Magisk rootkit. Frequent problems.. Most recently, the app refuses to run because it thinks I have rooted my phone (I have NOT)
1 ★I've already wasted too much time with this app. Updated review: Followed the latest instructions and the app still will not load/open. This phone app has always been inconsistent with the loading of the pages fully and its general usefulness. Lately, however, I can't even get it to fully open, but instead crashes constantly. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling it multiple times, but with no success. I now have to use the website on my cells browser.
2 ★I'm a bonvoy member and a Marriott loyalty. So I want to love this app. But it is nearly impossible to use this app on the road (which is often when I'm booking a hotel). It is so bloated and heavy that it takes forever to load, and sometimes never loads at all. Marriott is a great hotel chain, but not great at digital. I hope they hire and listen to some good engineers and ux professionals.
2 ★It was a great app -- by far the best among all its peers in terms of basically everything. But after a recent update, not only it does not work for the most of the times, but even if it works, it keeps asking me to use 2FA which I don't want. It's so unfortunately that these two weeks (and the following one) are when I need this app the most. It's been around 2 weeks and still broken.
