A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Occasionaly app has problems playing voicemails. It lists them but shuts down frequently when you attempt to play. Then you get a message from phone saying app is crashing frequently & asking you to put it to sleep to save battery. While attempting other functions I found that in "Manage My Home Account" there is an option to view & play voicemails, which seems to work all the time, even when attempting to play from voicemail icon on the main screen repeatedly fails & crashes the app.
2 ★Writing his review to add to the complaints already made here 1. Screen does not turn off while app is in use and seems to ignore proximity sensor 2. Bluetooth connection with car audio continually connects and disconnects so unable to use it in pairing mode 3. No screen pop up with incoming phone call in latest version of Android. Product owners please take these feedback seriously, there are alternatives out in the market and you can lose market share in a blink.
3 ★useful but buggy and has had serious perf issues for years. first the bug: when switching away while voicemail being loaded, data can get corrupted causing further access to all voicemails to crash app, only clearing app data and relogging in seems to fix this happened twice today, app should be transactional around data updates to avoid corruption. re perf: accessing each voicemail takes like 10 seconds... via either app or desktop browser, apparent api perf issue...makes checking vm painful.
1 ★I have tried to use this app for years. I have Vonage in my house but I travel extensively. The app is WORTHLESS when you travel. I have Skype and WhatApp. They both work perfectly when I travel but the Vonage app is useless. Calls never come through and going out just as useless. I can compare calling with other VOIP applications at the same time on the same connection and Vonage is always the loser. How can Vonage offer this poor product? The home connection is OK but the mobile app just gets in the way. You hear something going on and words here and there but never enough to understand. Also I need my connection for verification from banks etc and I can never even hear 6 digits in a row. An infuriating app.
1 ★Update: Still Doesnt work! As of 3/31. 3/5/2020. Rendered almost usless... no more answering calls. I can hear it ringing, but unless I open the app, I can't see who is calling. Then, once I can see who's calling, I still can't answer it. If this problem is not fixed soon, I will be canceling and this app and service is useless to me.
4 ★I've had Vonage for years because I still like having a land-line at home. Just started using the app and love it. Instead of having to remember to forward calls to my cell when out (and unforwarding when I get home) it automatically gives me the best of both worlds. Only thing is I wish you could customize the ring tone for calls coming through the Vonage app.
2 ★The app is a little kludgy to use. Accessing voicemails is really slow, to the extent that you end up double-tapping quite frequently with very undesired effects - especially when trying to delete old voicemail. And, most importantly, the Vonage limit on the maximum number of blocked numbers is COMPLETELY inadequate in today's world.
2 ★Pixel 4: Works about 7% of the time. Phone rings for a call but the app doesn't automatically open. Then I open the app and it looks like I've already hit the answer button, but doesn't pick up the line, so I can't actually answer. I end up having to call everyone back, it's incredibly frustrating.
1 ★Doesn't work with Samsung S10 / Android 9, the app shutsdown and restart again constantly, if a call is received while the app is down it won't ring, and if it rings it will crash badly... it used to work well with my old phone LG 2 Stylus but not anymore, I'm not expecting Vonage to fix these issues anytime soon so probably I'll be switching to Google Voice and get rid of Vonage.
1 ★I have been using this for years with mostly good results, but as a Pixel 3A phone user, I was upgraded to Android 10. The app no longer provides a way to answer incoming calls. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Update May 19,2020: Android 10 was released 10 months ago and still no fix to this app to be compatible.
4 ★UPDATE...I waited 24 hours, per the suggestion, and cleared app storage and cache...am now in and seems to be functioning correctly. I must say that 2 years is a long time between app updates and Vonage cusomer service is for the birds... Original one star review: Not able to register app...says can't connect to Vonage network and to try later. Another phone that is registered can make calls but doesn't receive them...sigh!
5 ★I like that I can answer from my cell phone if I'm not near my landline. I don't use my VOIP service much as I pay by outgoing minutes, but incoming calls don't cost me, so it's convenient when I need it. The app isn't the fastest at listening to voicemail and such, but it's nice that I can track my usage and bills. So much better than the old days of having to travel with actual device or paying for the calling app.
