5 ★Not Bad For A Freebie:) So I installed this FTFC app a few months ago and so far, so good. If you can live w/the ads it does pretty much everything a cellular no. is supposed to do. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to send SMS w/audio, pics and small video clips in via messenger something my google voice no. can't always do. The no. choices with the various area code options are also cool too.
2 ★This app has way too many ads. Very annoying. I only use it for texting and it is horrible. Normally when a text comes through the phone should vibrate when set on that but this app does not. I have double checked all the settings. All I get is a small notification at the top of the screen and if I miss it then I won't know I have a message until I open the app. Has potential but for now this app is not one of the good ones.
5 ★This is by far the best Wi-Fi calling and texting app. It is actually really free, no hidden gimmicks or no hidden fees. The only thing I say that could be different is the ads. I mean you have to pay $2.99 to even register and then weekly, they want another $4.99. And sometimes the ads go over your messages so you can't see messages sometimes. Other than that this app is fan-freaking-tastic
2 ★This is an app with a lot of potential, but a vast number of issues. The top 6 issues below are mostly user interface issues, and user experience ones, but are important to note before you sign up (1) it is a sales engine for multiple numbers. I have signed up to 4 numbers. I have many premium packages. Yet, I have no idea what I've paid for, and which numbers "expire" and when (I seem to get many notices that if I don't use my numbers at least once a week, they will be cancelled) (2) incoming
2 ★Most calls its good. But it crashes a lot out of nowhere. Rings only once on incoming calls and only vibrates for text msgs. Can't send replies to automated text services. The ads always pop in the way as you try to select a contact. Speakerphone option is broken and settings in general are extremely limited.
4 ★This is a great app! I really love it, it does just what it should without charging you a penny. I was very disturbed today, though, to find that the app will no longer open for me. I have deleted and re-installed it twice, and it'll open the first time I open it, but then only brings up a black screen. Disappointing and upsetting, especially since I rely on this app.
4 ★This phone app. has been amazing for me. So far, i was able to make local phone calls without any problems, plus these phone calls where free. This app. has a feature to get points free by watching new videos . There was only 1 problem with this service when i called a toll free number the person whom answer the phone could not hear me when i stared the conversation.
1 ★I don't like using FreeTone because of the adds. And it is slow and glitches a lot, causing me to click on an add when I am trying to click on a contact. It is very complicated trying to add the people i text to my contact list. Also sometimes i don't receive the texts people are sending me even while I'm connected to wifi. This app also doesn't allow me to receive certain text unless I pay, which really sucks seeing that I don't feel like paying and I can only receive texts from FreeTone.
1 ★I downloaded your app, as it says it's free to text & except calls within the US. I only used it to send 2 texts. I was charged $5.99 on the 6th of April and again $5.99 on the 13th. I never gave permission to charge my acct . Thats $11.98 total. This is a FREE call App, or so I thought. I still have ads. It can't be your weekly free of ads for $5.99. I have screen shots to show I've never been free from ads. I'm uninstalling & I Do not recommend... Please, do not charge my acct for Mo. of May!
2 ★I really enjoyed using this app at first but now it's been a little over a week and it's really becoming a pain in the rear end. Extremely glitchy and constantly says that the "App Is Not Responding"... please close app or report. I plan to give it a little bit longer in hopes that will stop, but it's getting very irritating. Especially since I have to utilize this kind of app at our home because cell signal is too weak but wifi signal is good. I've cleared the cache... everything. Ugh.
5 ★so far it's been great, even during actual phone conversations! I've tried all the others and I must say for once I have zero complaints on this app's ability. wouldn't mind seeing the contacts list having some more options but that's more cosmetic than an issue. Freestone should be the first wifi phone and texting app you try, you won't be disappointed!
1 ★Full of irritating ads It's so annoying - of all the calls I tried to place, I have only been successful a few times as mostly it doesn't allow you to place a call instead displays and forces you to watch those games and videos when you want to place an urgent call. Also, of the calls that have gone through, they mostly had dropped calls which were never completed - I still have purchased credits remaining but it's so annoying that I stopped placing calls via this - extremely unreliable
