「佛教僧伽終身教育學會」是由一群關心僧伽教育的四眾弟子共同籌設成立。成立本會目的是期望透過一個學習與資訊平台的建構，整合國內外的社會資源，有效推動並落實僧伽終身教育，讓所有關心僧伽教育者，能分享彼此的資源與經驗，並建構出僧伽之間相互扶持的學習社群。
成立因緣
根據2012年大乘精舍及慈雲雜誌社一項針對新北市中小型佛教道場進行「佛教僧伽終身教育需求」的問卷調查顯示：七成以上的受訪法師反映，無論在內修或外弘方面，肯定個人有持續學習的需求及意願。故而成立了「佛教僧伽終身教育學會」，以為台灣僧眾的終身學習平台。
理 念
1. 秉承佛教「覺醒的教育」，推動自利利他，自覺與覺他相互交融的「終身學習」歷程，以增益個
人心靈成長，直到人格的究竟完成。
2. 以生命的醒覺及實踐佛陀的教法為核心，並保持開放的心胸，學習有助益於修證佛法及利益眾
生的知識。
3. 順應時代的階段性需求和實踐之道，傳承佛法的精隨，有效整合不同的社會資源，推動僧伽終
身教育以續佛慧命。
發展方向
1. 建構現代佛教僧伽三學增上的思想與社會實踐的平台，以培養社區生命教育宗教師的師資及相關研究專業人才。
2. 建構現代佛教教育之理論與典範，促進佛教弘化與教育事業之現代化、專業化、制度化及國際化，進而提昇宗教服務之功能與品質。
3. 提供社區生命宗教師的教育學程，將佛法運用在四眾弟子與社會大眾成長各階段的適應課題與社會各階層的適應與心靈成長需求。
4. 分析瞭解國內與國際佛教發展趨勢及目前的社會服務資源，以深化佛教四眾對於個人修學與外弘之間的課題，且透過個人潛修與對話等多元方式，得以持續精進道業。
5. 建立各種資訊與資源有效交流平台，邀請國內外專家學者共同規劃四眾弟子佛教終身教育課程、師資培訓並設立國際推廣組織。
三年規畫
1. 建立佛教僧伽終身教育網絡及對話平台。
2. 發展與規劃佛教宗教師養成課程、助人課程、社工服務。
3. 促進國際僧伽教育之間的交流。
4. 規劃、完成「佛教僧伽必知百堂課」。
