About 慧炬機構 APK
Description
民國四十一年，慧炬機構創辦人周宣德居士（西元1899～1989）在參訪台灣各地佛教團體後，為導正一般大眾對佛教消極、迷信，及神佛不分的普遍現象，決定推動知識青年學佛，宣揚正信佛教，引導大眾對佛法建立正知正見。民國四十九年，在周居士的推動輔導下，台灣大學晨曦學社獲准成立，這是國內大專院校第一個成立的佛學社團，首開大專學生研究佛學的風氣。之後，包括師大、政大、中興大學等九十七所國內大專院校聞風興起、競相仿傚，先後跟進成立佛學社團，大專學生研究佛學之風氣，勃然而起，蔚然而興，成為世人所豔稱之「大專青年學佛運動」。周居士擎舉的智慧之火，不僅開啟佛教帶動大專知識青年學佛的首頁，同時也為居士弘法樹立典範。
爾後，周居士為了鼓勵大專青年研讀佛學，提供學佛青年發表佛學專文的園地，在加拿大僑領詹勵吾居士的贊助下，於民國五十年成立「財團法人慧炬雜誌社」，除發行《慧炬雜誌》贈閱各校佛學社團及社會大眾外，並定期舉辦佛學社團負責人座談會──「慧炬粥會」，促進大專佛學社團之間的交流，成為推動大專青年學佛的中心機構。
同時，為了弘宣佛法的大量出版需要，由美國佛教會沈家楨居士資助成立「財團法人慧炬出版社」，出版佛學書籍達百餘種，流通海內、外，廣受讀者喜愛。周居士並與國內外緇素大德設立「慧炬大學院校佛學論文徵文獎學金」，鼓勵學佛青年研究佛學，獎勵將心得撰寫論文。歷年來，許多受到佛法薰陶的獎學金獲獎青年學子，畢業後投入社會，成為中堅、菁英分子，對於振興佛教、弘揚佛法、淨化社會風氣及提升倫理道德等，均能發揮正面作用。類此，周居士又陸續成立「財團法人詹煜齋居士佛教文化獎學基金會」、「財團法人紀念余家菊先生文教獎學基金會」及「中華慧炬佛學會」等佛教公益團體；上述單位合稱為「慧炬機構」。
慧炬機構自創辦以來，弘法利生的志業未曾間斷，除持續發行《慧炬雜誌》、出版佛學書籍、頒發「大學院校佛學論文徵文獎學金」外，並長期舉辦各種佛學課程、佛法修行活動、關懷社會公益講座，及藝文輔導與涵養身心兼備的「國小學童作文寫作班」等。今後，仍將秉持周宣德居士創辦宗旨，繼續堅守在菩提道上努力耕耘，讓慧炬之光如同無盡燈一般，燃亮千千萬萬的佛法燈火，照亮人間光明。期待社會各界大德及善心人士，能惠予支持與贊助，讓慧炬志業永續發展，繼往開來。
