A safer online experience for kids
We work hard to keep the videos on YouTube Kids family-friendly and use a mix of automated filters built by our engineering teams, human review, and feedback from parents to protect our youngest users online. But no system is perfect and inappropriate videos can slip through, so we’re constantly working to improve our safeguards and offer more features to help parents create the right experience for their families. You can also customize your families experience you can turn search on or off while using YouTube Kids on TV. Or, check your child’s watch history with the ‘Watch it Again’ feature.

Customize your child’s experience with individual profiles
Create individual experiences as unique as your kids on our mobile app and use them on your TV or on the web. First, download YouTube Kids from the iOS App Store or Google Play store on a mobile or tablet device, then log in to create profiles. Every profile has its own viewing preferences, video recommendations, and settings. Select an age category that fits your child, "Preschool" (4 & under), "Younger" (5-8), or "Older" 9+) or choose "Approved Content Only" mode.

If you select "Approved Content Only" you can handpick the videos, channels and/or collections that you’ve approved for your child to watch. In this mode, searching for videos is unavailable. Approved videos must first be selected on your mobile or tablet device. Once chosen, they will be reflected on all your devices with YouTube Kids.

All kinds of videos for all kinds of kids
Our library is filled with family-friendly videos on all different topics, igniting your kids’ inner creativity and playfulness. It’s everything from their favorite shows and music to learning how to build a model volcano (or make slime!), and everything in between.

Other important information:
Parental setup is needed to ensure the best experience possible for your kid.
Your kid may also see videos with commercial content from YouTube creators that are not paid ads. The Privacy Notice for Google Accounts managed with Family Link describes our privacy practices when your kid uses YouTube Kids with their Google Account. When your kid uses YouTube Kids without signing into their Google Account, the YouTube Kids Privacy Notice applies.

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★This app is NOT equivalent to the YouTube Kids phone/tablet apps. Google seems to think you should buy your kid a personal electronic device if you want to manage their media consumption. If that doesn't align with your parenting philosophy, Google has decided YouTube isn't for you. I specifically bought the new Google Chromecast w/ Google TV in order to have better parental control over their Youtube consumption via the YouTube Kids app. It seems I have wasted $50, because I cannot link my child's managed account to this app -- it just offers a boilerplate, unpersonalized user experience. You can't subscribe to channels or block channels. It will simply display whatever YouTube thinks a generic kid of your childs' age should watch. Of course, your kids *can* always stream managed content from the YTK app on a personal electronic device, so maybe you should just buy them one of those? That's what it comes down to: Google seems to think that every kid should have a tablet in order for a parent to be able to control what they watch on YouTube. And when it comes to raising my own kids, I couldn't disagree more. At their young ages, I want their media consumption to be in a family space where I can keep an eye on it and discuss it with them. Another problem: Even if you and your family normally enjoy YouTube ad free because you pay $15/month for a YouTube premium family subscription, Google will still be pushing ads to your children, because -- again -- this app cannot be linked to an account. Ultimately, I'm deleting this app and will let my six-year-old return to watching YouTube using the regular app and my unrestricted adult account. The Chromecast will probably go back to Google. Maybe I'll try again when they get serious about making YouTube safe and enjoyable for kids who don't have tablets or phones.
2 ★The aesthetics of this app are nice but this version needs better parental controls. Google Family Link is not Android TV compatible so restrictions like approved content only for recommendations need to be implemented into this version of the app itself. It's pretty much useless without it for any parents who want to control what content their kids see.
1 ★This is a very different app from the "Youtube Kids" app for android PHONES. This one is lacking very important features such as the ability to create kids profiles, as well as the ability to hand-pick content that your child is able to watch (Approved Content Only). Pretty inappropriate stuff shows up on this app, and requires close supervision by an adult.
2 ★I've been using this app on my Sony TV which work really and my kid was happy. Until today, I'm not sure what happen but app keep return to user select menu (red screen) while my kid watch her cartoon. it keep happen randomly which very distract.
1 ★Nothing like the Android app. Unable to block specific channels. Needs improvement bigtime.
1 ★can not install on android tv (xiaomi mi box s) in israel
3 ★There is no option to control the quality of videos.
5 ★It’s very good for kids it’s safe for kids
4 ★update: release 1.04 finally fixes the crashing!
1 ★I have youtube kids installed on my phone/tablet and my kids love it. I have it installed on my Android TV devices and it NEVER gets used. Why no voice search? It doesn't make sense. They just go to the regular youtube app and voive search what they want. Often they get it, but they also will find and view some inappropriate stuff as well on the Full Youtube app. PLEASE add voice search for YouTube Kids on Android TV!
1 ★The YouTube Kids for Android TV app is lacking many important features, most important of which is the ability to block videos and channels. The ability to block channels and videos is extremely important for any parent who is looking to monitor what their children are watching.
1 ★Just installed this on my NVDIA Shield. Was super excited because I don't let my kids use regular YouTube. I simply don't understand why there is no voice search. Little kids are not able to type in what they want to look for. Not to mention voice search simply makes EVERYTHING easier on the TV (even for adults).
