Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

1 ★Audio only comes in at PCM 2.0 on both my NVidia Shield and LG TV. Hulu, Amazon Prime and Netflix all pass DD+ 5.1 without a problem as well as HDR & DV. I wrote to CBS tech support who uselessly told me to re-install the app. Then they told me they'd "look into it" but I'll be perpetually waiting..... So if I want DD+ 5.1, I can watch shows on Prime because that's how I signed up but no DV. If I want DV or HDR I have to watch on the CBS app but then I get PCM 2.0, no surround sound. LAME! If they fix this, I will amend my review. What a subscription costs, they should have perfected sound and video on high end streaming devices!! 1 start due to that.
4 ★UPDATE 2: The latest app version fixes the nVIDIA Shield color problems! UPDATE 1: The colors are way off for Star Trek: Discovery and Picard in the nVIDIA Shield Pro version. Those shows are in black and white with some magenta hues. Oddly, the colors in the trailers, Short Treks episodes, and other shows appear fine. One other issue is some episodes of certain shows are missing. For example, Taxi Season 2 starts with Episode 4 since Episodes 1-3 are missing. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This app works well, for the most part, on my SHIELD TV Pro (recently updated to 8.1.1) and 1080p TV. It works better than the Roku and regular Android versions, maybe because I use a hard-wired Ethernet connection to the router whereas my other devices stream via Wi-Fi. The audio (analog stereo only), picture quality (1080p), and stability are all good. The only problems I've experienced are out-of-sync audio and video on a few episodes of older shows (specifically Frasier).
2 ★The app clearly displays that the programs are available in 5.1 sound, put there is no UI to select the audio track. The Only reason I gave it 2 stars is because it will stream in Dolby Vision. CBS, Audio is as important as video. IU have a Roku Ultra (2019) and i get 5.1 sound, but nor HDR and here on the Shield, I get Dolby Vision and stereo sound. Please fix your app.
3 ★For some reason, downloaded TV episodes always come with the audio description track enabled. I'm glad this option exists, but I wish it were an option. I've encountered this now across multiple devices, and there's no setting I can find that would change it or turn it off.
2 ★On the NVIDIA Shield Pro, and with the more expensive commercial-free subscription, this app only supports two channel stereo audio. Seriously? In 2020, stereo audio is the best you could do? The app on my AppleTV4K does support full DD 5.1 sound, so the developer knows how to do it for specific hardware, but this generic 'every Android device' version is stereo. Just disappointing.
1 ★This app is the worst. Customer Sevice is non-existent. CBS All Access refurred me to Google Play. Google Play had not responded. I am paying for a program without being able to use it. Cancelling. Probably won't get my $5.99 back either. They should be ashamed of themselves. Save your money. Don't use this app.
2 ★CBS ALL Access has been buffering for 6 days. Router new, cookies & catches cleared; nada. Email to CBS yielded a polite bot "sorry you're experiencing difficulties" response & nothing more. Weirdest of all, it plays on my tablet, but not on laptops or my big TV. :( No matter how much I like Picard or STD, I'm cancelling if I can't resolve it.
1 ★Verify disapppointed with this app, especially with the recent update that requires Internet access to log in. I was planning to download numerous episodes of Star-Trek Discovery and watch them off-inline when I am on vacation this December. How am I suppposed to do that? The tech support people (more often than not) do not know what "off-line" means, and are unware that "Commercial Free Subscribers" have the ability to play "off-line" videos. "Off-line" means NO INTERNET, NO WIFI, NO BLU-TOOTH, "NO CONNECTION TO ANYTHING". The first response from tech support is to ask to to describe the problem, even if you use the app to report a problem that you put the description in, that contains alot of the other details that they ask you for.
1 ★This is absolutely the worst application/service combination in the history of streaming media. Not only did the app deactivate my account after the trial period expired, but Google play charge me for the service while my account was deactivated. CBS All Access Phone Help told me there was nothing they could do. They said they would connect me to Google, whom they assured me could help. When they transferred me though, it was just to the front-end main intake line for GooglePlay, which proceeded to direct me to the web site and then disconnected me. I only subscribed to this service for Discovery and Picard and was willing to pay the $9.99/month for that, but since they aren't giving me the service and are just disconnecting me while charging me for a service they aren't rendering, Picard or no Picard, I've cancelled this absolutely catastrophically horrible service. It. is. the. worst. I've cancelled everything and requested a return from Google Play. In addition, the app is also horrible. The captions are always out of sync (sometimes too soon, sometimes too late) with the speech, the navigation is very much out of date with current applications, the in-video navigation is also horrible and counter-intuitive. ...and I thought Prime Video had a poor interface. CBS All Access takes "Poor Interface" to a whole new level.
3 ★I have been trying to upgrade to no commercials for two days now with no luck. CBS just parrotts back to me what they already have on their web site. Their commercials are annoying as all get out and I will gladly upgrade so as not to have to mute their commercials everytime they come on. (I suspect that is their plan.
3 ★The issue I'm having is when I'm using the CBS App and then set the "sleep timer" on my Sony Bravia TV. Normally, setting the sleep timer is rather easy. Basically I tap the "Apps" button on my remote and another window opens where you can scroll to the timer app. What you are watching continues to play on the left side of the screen. What's happening since last week with the CBS App is when I go to the timer app, the show I'm watching stops playing. After I set the timer and exit that menu, the show I'm watching comes back on, except there is a BLUE border all the way around my screen. Also, I cannot FF, RW or pause the show. I'd appreciate CBS fixing this bug. I've set the sleep timer on other apps and they work just fine, no issues. Thank You.
1 ★Got this app to watch a game that was advertised on the front page of the app. Game wouldn’t stream as advertised. Extremely difficult to figure out how to cancel. Ended up paying for something I never used once. The charge on my credit card was ran through google play, so I didn’t catch it. I thought it was a movie rental charge.
