1 ★Update-it takes them 4 months to cancel for nonpayment. You can easily get those months for free if you cancel you debit card 🤔 Down to one star. They've failed to bill for 3 months but still the account is active. Really annoyed that I'm forced to call to cancel the interactive monitoring. There's no reason I should be unable to cancel in the app other than I assume you're going to try and convince me to not cancel on call. Obnoxious. Modernize. It's 2023.
3 ★Easy setup and video quality, but the outdoor cameras take forever to wake up. This means that they often don't record whatever it was that moved past the camera. Also, viewing the cameras via the app is hit and miss. Often I can't connect to the cameras at all, or it takes several tries to get them to wake up. Simplisafe customer service forum says they are working on this issue. I really hope they fix it soon because it is simply not safe if the cameras are laggy or don't wake up.
1 ★Àpp stopped working on my local network. Cameras fail alot. NO independent notification sound or settings. If your sound for notifications is subdued or low volume ding etc., you will never be able to tell an intrusion alarm is active. Had to buy an ext horn and put it in my bedroom at night. Sensor failures as well and battery depletion. You just won't know, even away from home it could be a flood sensor screaming at low notification that sounds like emails or texts from "simple" notifications.
5 ★Great system. Easy to install and use. I've had my system for years and it has easily evolved with my requirements. Even with some minimal price increases, SimpliSafe is still one of the best security system deals around and the service, updates and evolution of the products are second to none. You can't go wrong choosing SimpliSafe... IMHO.
5 ★Love the system. Am able to check from any where. Routinely checked while on vacation in Alaska and had no issues. Has a very loud alarm. Extremely fast when checking cameras. Accidentally set off the alarm and couldn't get to the main panel in time and the police were here in less than 5 mins. Like that I can turn off individual sensors but still have the system on for the rest of the house.

I would highly recommend this company and service in terms of value, efficiency, and reliability to anyone looking for peace of mind. I wouldn't trust any other company with my security needs. The most affordable home security system to date. As a DIY guy I find this system very user friendly and easy to install and maintain. 3 ★I've had SimpliSafe for years and have really enjoyed it. The monitoring is responsive and quick. But the cameras are very slow to wake up. Now after the latest update, the cameras get stuck on loading live view. I really want to like the cameras and move all of my other cameras away from nest, but SimpliSafe cameras are subpar in comparison.
5 ★We've had simplisafe for years now and have loved it. The system is easy to set up and easy to use, whether you're using the key pads or the app. You can really customize you system to fit your needs and your budget. When you have issues their customer service and technical assistance is very good. Things don't always work perfectly but they are there to help. We've had a few devices sent to us that don't work the first time, in that case the second time is always the charm. Highly recommend!!!
1 ★After years of flawless functionality I am suddenly unsafe in my home since the last app update (red flags ). It was working fine prior to the last update. Update fails so far are outdoor cameras stopped live streaming , simplisafe branded entry door lock no longer respons to commands (lock/unlock). To many unable to connect to base station and off line errors. I would stay away from simplisafe until more positive reviews show up and current update issues are remediated.
3 ★Great front end app. Remove the camera false sense of up status. Meaning visual cueing load elipse (spinning circle), "connecting..., waking up camera..., " When the camera has dead battery. The system knows the state of the device. Why not just display the current state from the sys. love the simplicity of standard view, but Perhaps an Advance view is needed for ANY sys changes? also recommend a family manager view. To pass sys use to authorized family members. One login not good practice
2 ★The wireless cameras are HORRIBLE with the app. Half the time they won't connect to live feed and they just show disconnected. I tried to reconnect my camera and the app is so bugged I can't even add my outdoor camera. It either freezes or closes saying it encountered a critical bug. Fix it Simplisafe. You introduced this issue in your last update today.
1 ★Update: GF went in my house, alarm went off, didn't get notified and couldn't turn it off from the app. Rarely ever makes it past "testing your sensors" and just keeps retrying. Meanwhile I'm at work and I'd like to disable my alarm so someone can go in the house but the app won't let me do it because it keeps failing to connect during the testing your sensors phase. Now I either reschedule or give this person my pin. Cancelling my subscription and buying something that works. Garbage app.
