1 ★Widgets are broken yet again. The developers of this app are useless, it's constantly broken. Delete and reinstall temporarily fixes it but it breaks again in a day or two. Avoid Hive heating, it's rubbish. Edit 11.12.23, just when you think they can't make it any worse, now there's a terrible new dashboard, the worst part of which is the way quick actions are now in a single row of tiny buttons that don't show all of the action description, so now you don't know which to choose.
1 ★Beta Update is appalling. I work in IT and this wouldn't get past my business stakeholders. Looks like a graduate intake project with sales input looking to make this into a revenue generator. Unable to easily switch back to original interface once Beta elected. If this is the future interface I'm going to have to switch to an alternative smart thermostat. Not worth one star.
1 ★The old app showed a reasonably compact dashboard view of 7 devices. The new 'improved' app only shows a max of 4, requiring scrolling to see other TRVs. Big step backwards! I want a compact view, say thermostat and 9 or more TRVs, each showing Target temp, Actual temp, whether Calling, and whether Manual, Schedule or Off. Why is this not available? Also, why only show history chart from the thermostat, why not also from each TRV?
2 ★It's ok, but it is quite frankly ridiculous that you need a paid subscription to see weekly or monthly usage for this reason I wished we gone with Google. Also could do with being a button to go straight to usage graph rather than via heating schedule. Otherwise set it and forget it. Following up from the reply just allow access to the weekly and monthly stats and I will be a happy bunny 🐇 Latest beta update still not providing weekly, monthly data etc without monthly payment 👎
2 ★Looking at the Beta version, this app is set to become worse/harder to see what is happening. So hard to see which rooms are on at a glance, too much scrolling. Definitely a backward step. So far have not found any benefits - but on the positive side, everything seems to work and maybe a bit faster than before.
1 ★We have lost all control. It was working properly. But from last week, nor me on my Airbnb, nor landlords I work with, can make it work. Need to be fixed ASAP In answer to centrica hive Ltd: Anything goes wrong. We have tried to reset anything (even factory resets), speak to customer service (holding cues of 30 to 40 minutes),followed web instructions... and then receivers goes offline, and after thermostats follows. We have spent 12 or 16hrs trying to fix what it was working.
1 ★This app is virtually unusable now with the constant nagging to subscribe to Hive Plus for £3.99 a month. I don't want to subscribe so please accept when I select 'No' on the app then 'No' means 'No' Since the new beta update this app is now just one big advert for 'heating plus' virtually every option, button, screen nags you to buy 'heating plus'. It's time to start looking for an alternative to Hive.
1 ★It has to work! No ifs or buts. I need to control my heating on my phone. This is important. How can you ask for a beta test when it doesn't work. Stuck forever without any progress or clues. Thankfully the old app view still does, albeit somehow slower. I expect so much more attention to detail.
1 ★I have had hive for many years now for my heating, and the app worked as it should. But the last 2 year have been getting worse and worse. Nothings changed with my set up. My apps are constantly offline so I cannot control my heating when out of the house or even if I'm in and want a boost!
3 ★3 stars for the new beta app, new layout so always a puzzle but otherwise it works - Standard app been working ok, invited to try the beta app which just puts a new face on the old app. When going into any detail it loads the old app format. Easy to switch back form beta to current version. I only use it for heating so perhaps it has benefits that don't apply to me but I don't see the point in the update. I'll stick with the familiar layout.
1 ★I have had hive for over a year. I find there is no benefit for the Hive+, just a money making scheme. I wish I'd not wasted my money on the whole thing. Of late, the app has been very unresponsive both on Android and iOS. The app takes ages to complete any action. This can be quite frustrating.
3 ★Hive doesn't always make life easier. I try and set schedules and it's not always easy to do. E.g. On the PC it doesn't accept my password,on the mobile setting the schedules isn't easy to set a whole week.. and the actual monitor I can't always get it to register lower temps....it could be because I'm daft!
