A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew
1 ★What an absolute disaster! So they claim they've redesigned this from the ground up, and if the aim was to slow it down, create an objectively not user friendly experience that is both laggy and just doesn't seem or feel intuitive, then they've definitely hit the mark. The individual light selection process and brightness controls are particularly obnoxious. I can't think of anything valuable in this downgrade, sorry, update.
2 ★Since the latest update, functionality has plummeted. The app is slow to connect to my Hue Bridge; making adjustments, and even turning the lights on or off takes a good 2 seconds to respond (previously, this was all nearly-instant). I've even upgraded my wireless router (for other network reasons) and saw zero improvement from the Hue app. I wouldn't recommend a Hue light with the current performance. However, the visual update is nice. I like the design. But this performance is abysmal.
1 ★This app is not intuitive at all. I just bought bulbs, light strips, motion sensors and the bridge. I've set up my automations, but then my hue motion sensor behaviours overwrite the automation and then everything is buggy. On top of that when I turn on/off a bulb with the app, during the automations it cancel out. I can't set colours for the automations and the motion sensor behaviours. I will research into how to fix my issues but I really feel bad for the non technical people out there.
1 ★Great product if you need motivation to rip your own hair out. Lost my phone underwater, got a new phone the next day, tried reconnecting my phone to the bridge only to see the light indicating the connection to the modem was off. No matter what I tried, cables, hard press reset, disconnecting reconnecting, absolutely nothing besides a deep dissapointment and anger came out of it. I lose my phone, and now I lost my lights that brought me an uplifting mood. Would not suggest to a friend.
3 ★I'm really struggling with this update. It just does not make sense at all. It's very difficult to change the brightness of one light within a group. The number of taps required now is too many. As soon as you dim one light, it auto adjusts other lights for some reason. Why are some sliders horizontal and some are vertical. These should be cleaned up and create a more cohesive layout.
1 ★The latest update didn't just remove the multi scene widget, forcing me to set up all my shortcuts again, but this new widget is slow as hell and often doesn't even work at all. Is it taking 20 seconds to change the light or is it going to tell me it couldn't connect to the bridge? Like an idiot, I paid hundreds of dollars for something I don't even own - because the lights in my house are subject to the whims of some app devs. Great job.
3 ★The hardware is great however for a well known brand like Philips, the software is a big let down. Everything in 'Hue Labs' should be built into the app. It's basic stuff like looping through colours and using one button on the tap switch to turn lights on AND off. Also how come we can't select just one light to conttol with a tap switch or motion sensor? It only allows for a whole room to be controlled.
1 ★A truly awful update. Previous versions allowed access to individual fixtures, this one does not. When I select the kitchen, hue selects 9 fixtures. Who decided to link the master bedroom with the entrance, hallway and front closet? My old presets are difficulty to edit, and the new layout means they were all re-sorted. If I were in the market today, I would not choose Hue.
1 ★It's cleaner looking but it got dumber too. The widgets are way worse, giving you fewer options for room, area, or preset control. Instead of one widget with multiple buttons it's an individual widget for each button. The automation got worse as well. Before it would activate and turn on lights when you got home after sunset. Now it just says "at night" but it keeps turning them on when it's still bright outside. Apparently "at night" includes 2:38pm when there's still 5 hours of light left.
2 ★Was a great experience until the most recent update. Now widgets are pretty much useless (need a new 1x1 widget for every light setting) and there's no quick way to turn lights on and off. Also it takes forever for the lights to change, before it was almost instantaneous. NOT HAPPY. Will probably be selling mine.
1 ★The old Hue app was far easier to use - UI elements were smaller but still easy to read, and the vertical scrolling of scenes was great. On the new app, less fits on the screen because of unnecessary space around UI elements, you have to scroll scenes HORIZONTALLY (why, on a phone screen?!), and whilst it's nice to have individual room lights listed, it's just taking up more space where I'd prefer scenes to be. The only positive element of the new app is automations which is better than before.
1 ★Used to be great but lately it's turned to trash. The integration with Google and Alexa is really horrible. It worked really well about 2 or 3 years ago but it's gone downhill to the point where assistant apps forget lights so frequently I have to delete and re-add at least 5 - 6 lights a week. Tje Philips Hue app used to be the only one that worked, now the last update made it to where it starts to forget and skip lights, also. I'm currently looking around for a suitable brand to switch to.
