終於在2006年5月，《有機誌》創刊號以單月出刊的方式正式誕生，成為全球第一本華文的有機時尚雜誌。透過上課、採訪、舉辦有機展覽的過程不斷學習，我們從一個有機世界的門外漢、一個不懂雜誌製作的初學者，開始走入有機產業、出版媒體的世界，一點一滴地累積所見所聞及所感、拓展報導的廣度與深度。《有機誌》編輯部同仁跨足海、內外，國內團隊負責探討台灣有機現況，尋訪台灣各角落，與農友、相關業者、決策者面對面進行訪談、交流，共同檢視問題，藉此找出台灣有機產業的未來性。而於法國、義大利、英國、奧地利等各國的駐外記者負責掌握歐洲地區有機產業的動態。此外，本誌也有各領域專家作為專欄作者，包含牙醫師兼作家李偉文、美國國家健康研究中心癌症中心博士陳立川、研究藥草、營養、認知行為治療方面的醫學博士林值筠、臨床毒物科專家林中英等人，提供讀者專業且實用的有機、健康資訊。《有機誌》內容則涵蓋因應時事或時令的特別企劃（專題報導）、有機生活、有機人物、健康時尚、環保節能、綠色產業等議題。每個月，編採團隊走訪國內外各地，將看到、聽到、嗅到、品嚐到及觸摸到的種種紀錄在《有機誌》中，雖無華麗文采，但一字一句都是上山下海所收穫的啟發與感動。我們認為，真正的有機為的不只是個人的健康，而是一種樸實、回歸自然、對環境友善的生活態度。自然環境、資源不是獨屬人類的，唯有人們懂得珍惜、保護，才能讓生態恢復應有的平衡，使萬物得以永續生存。儘管有機產業的發展為國際趨勢，但多年來國內的有機產業卻前進地緩慢且有限。根據農委會農糧署資料顯示，有機消費市場規模小，有機耕種面積佔總耕地面積不到1%，十幾年來雖有微幅度增加，但相較於義大利9.1%、西班牙6.4%、德國6.2%，仍十分低。無論是政策、法規、認證標準、生產及消費觀念等都有很大的空間值得我們努力改進。我們的食材來自哪？農民如何種植、生產？我們的生活用品源於哪些原料？我們的消費習慣是否能維持自然生態的平衡？我們的物質享受是否是犧牲環境而換來的？工商業社會下，人們時常關心著政治、經濟，卻鮮少意識到生態、環保等議題，此外，農業亦是在我國產業發展決策中被嚴重忽略、犧牲的一塊。因此，每期我們都不斷提出問題、尋求解答。在對於有機、產業、環保、綠能、食品安全、醫療健康等各主題的分析、反覆詰問中，促使人們反思環境永續的迫切性及重要性。回饋給環境，回饋給生態。我們將人與土地間最真摯的情感和故事、台灣有機產業所面臨的困境與現況付諸筆墨，讓讀者跟著本誌一起從餐桌到產地、從消費端到生產端，了解農業現況、正視環保並推廣有機的生活態度，進而刺激台灣有機產業的發展。產業永續、人類生活永續及地球環境永續三者環環相扣。而作為最友善的媒體，我們為擁有理念、珍惜土地的小農發聲、為環境發聲、為生態發聲；作為最環保的社企，十年來我們不斷傳達「對環境友善」的有機價值觀，都將回饋給環境、回饋給生態。
