A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Changing app rating after a major issue happening twice. Had the app delete all my account information and downloaded books while traveling. It worked the whole drive here, then I arrive somewhere with no data or wifi and it wants me to login as if I've never used the app before and when I finally found a slow wifi Hotspot I logged in only to find all my borrowed and downloaded books gone.
3 ★Love the app, when it doesn't glitch on audio books. I use this exclusively for audio books on my phone (Samsung galaxy s10+) and this app will frequently just stop playing my book and when I try to play the book again, it is a game of roulette on whether it will start back at the right spot. This occurs multiple times times day, with a few days of reprieve occasionally. Please fix! I didn't have this issue about a year ago.
3 ★Buggy, buggy, buggy. Listen to audiobooks while driving and wuthout fail, the app will crash every time. And when it restarts it falls a few minutes back that I have to fast forward or re-listen to. It is a nice app that can be really great if the bugs get worked out.
4 ★I started using this App during lockdown when my local library closed. I like the convenience of always having my book with me, always turned to the page I'm on. Other features that I appreciate include - hold your finger over a word to highlight it, then you can do a Wikipedia/Google lookup, or highlight a name to take you to all instances of when that name has been used within the book. Finally, I never take out the same book twice now, Libby shows if I've read it before and when.
5 ★As a high school literacy specialist who also teaches adults to read, I highly recommend using this for audio and visual reading. I especially love that you can tap any word to hear it pronounced and get the definition. In audio, knowing the time it takes to listen to a book is great for planning. I also love the reading record this app. keeps. Sometimes I can't get the exact book I am looking for, but there are so many other choices that it doesn't matter.
1 ★I had been trying to listen to a book for the last 24 hours to no avail. I finally figured out in the last update it has automatically selected a setting that only allows downloads over wi-fi. Not cool, especially since i only listen to books in my vehicle. There wasn't any warnings to let me know why the book wasn't playing either, i just had to keep pushing buttons till i found something. Also, the new layout is horrible, not logical, hard to navigate.
5 ★In many ways libby is a lot better than all reading apps that I have used including kindle, I can have as many tags that I want to organize my books, libby shows me how long I will have to wait for a book, and I have a detailed reading history which I wish kindle would add to the app for convenience. I think the best part about the app is that I can skip several pages at a time and then move back to my spot it saved for me, even though I forgot where.
1 ★I gave Libby 5 stars when I first started using the app- I loved it so much! Until now. Im not sure what happened, but for the last 3 months it has been harder and harder to use, tons of glitchy audio, stops randomly, and sometimes the app itself will "open" but stays only on a blank white screen? Unfortunately, I can't recommend this app to anyone anymore.
5 ★Easy way to borrow ebooks from the local library system. Allows you to put books on hold and see how long until the book will be available, and then when it is available, you can push off borrowing it a little if you are in the middle of reading something else. Also has the ability to tag books (ex. A "to read in the future" list) and return books early if you finish them. Easy to navigate. Love it. It has changed the way that I read.
5 ★Libby has evolved into an extremely user friendly app. With free access to all books in my local library association and New York Public library, it helps keep me entertained and informed. Sometimes I have to wait for a new release - just like any library hold - but delayed gratification is good for the soul.
1 ★Unbelievably unhelpful and impossible... So some clever clod decided to create an app that leads nowhere... There is not a single thing I can say positive about this app. Search system is a maze to use. Return of books early is nigh on impossible. Amount of books is very VERY limited. There is no suggestion system (if you liked this, you may like that). Biggest button in the screen shows me about my library card, not the book I'm trying to listen to. Honestly a letdown and disappointment.
1 ★The latest version of this app is terrible. The organization of the interface is baffling, the home button is worthless, the search doesn't work well, and the app refuses to work if cell service is poor (switching to airplane mode inexplicably solves the problem). It's also missing the default features that every other ebook app has: tags, favorites, read history, etc. I can't believe that someone actually approved this version of the app to go public.
