2 ★App itself is perfect. After a few days stopped working, so I cant listen what I paid for (on my mobile device). Secondly, it is very expensive and service description from Amazon are confusing. You have to pay 15€ a month in exchange for one book.
1 ★I have been an audible member for years and this app just keeps getting worse. Ignoring that every upgrade seems to add screens and unnecessary steps to make everything harder, now it won't even open on one of my tablets. I tried a factory reboot and just loaded audible. Immediate crash. On the other the timer looks like it is working but it never shuts off. Please consider creating a "lite" version without all of the useless marketing and bells/whistles. Go back to the Audible days pre-Amazon.
3 ★A good app and service, usually. However, be prepared for infrequent but severe issues. I have had to reinstall the app multiple times over the years, usually after an update made the app unusable in some way. Yes, that also means losing your downloads, or sometimes losing your place in ongoing books. However, I still recommend the app because I love audio books and this app works great most of the time. **Downgraded to 3/5 stars after having to reinstall post update AGAIN.
3 ★App down for a week. Told developers working on it. I have over 100 purchased books and use it daily, and now I can't use it because my specific Android version fails. With the power of Amazon's developers, it shouldn't take a week to figure out. I can get almost anything delivered in 24 hrs from Amazon, but it takes over a week to fix an app?
5 ★This is my go to app when I have nothing to do. I have MS which affects my ability to hold a book over 200 pages long. I have a Jitterbug phone which stands up to a lot of dropping. And when I drop the phone, I don't lose my place. It's a win-win for me! Audible app is top notch! I keep a list of all the books I hear about, sample the titles, and download the book into my phone from Audible in one touch technology! What a wonderful time to be a reader!
3 ★I use this app daily, but I'm not very impressed with it anymore. Biggest complaint - 9 times out of 10 the app will restart playback in a different position than when I paused it. It drives me crazy, having to constantly bookmark my progress so I can find the right spot again! Also, it's really more expensive than it's worth. ONE credit a month costs more than other UNLIMITED listen services. And Audible's "included" (read: free w/ subscription) catalog is pathetic.
1 ★Great content, annoying app. I wish developers would spend time on basic usability before adding more features. Start with making speed adjustment specific to the title. I listen to sleep stories at night at 50% and other books faster. That means a tedious process of changing speed EVERY time I listen -- and you can't change the speed without starting a book playing first (why?). In the car, you can't change the speed at all (why?). Samples play at the wrong speed and can't be adjusted (why?).
5 ★Awesome app for anyone to enjoy a book with. I find navigating the app less than stellar. I don't know how hard it would be but I would like to see sequence numbering added to each title. Currently, I have to go to another app to figure out which book title is 1st, 2nd, etc.
3 ★I love the selection of audio books available. However, the audio controls don't seem to work the same way as every other app on my phone and I can't control if from the lock screen. The volume is also much lower than all my other audio apps and I have to adjust it whenever switching to or from this one.
5 ★Audible is good autiobook app for a few reasons. It lets you pick autiobooks that you like. It helps you discover a variety of autiobooks base on what was already read to you. The titles in the app are narrated by famous actors, arthors, and voice actors. It is not only an autobook app, but give you collection of podcast content.
4 ★I have enjoyed the ability to make use of my time, especially while driving to 're-read' books and explore new ones for myself while driving. But also to provide intelligent, fun and imaginative, non visual entertainment for my kids while on road trips, short or long!
4 ★The app is good for keeping me company and allowing me to hear again the stories of my youth. My only complaint would be some of the readers really should be made to listen back to their efforts, I have on more than one occasion actually had to stop listening as it offended my ears.
