하나님의 영광과 성도의 행복을 꿈꾸는 교회하나님의 마음을 알고 하나님의 뜻대로 사역하는 교회가 되기를 원합니다. 하나님께서는 ‘내 마음에 맞는 사람으로
내 뜻을 이루시는 분(행13:23)’이라고 하셨습니다.
우리 교회가 하나님 아버지의 마음을 알아 기대에 부응하는 교회가 되기를 소망합니다.
하나님은 광야 이스라엘 백성에게 40년 동안 만나를 주셨습니다.
이 만나 중에서 며칠을 두어도 썩지 않고 벌레가 생기지 않는 만나가 있습니다. 하나는 안식일을 위하여 준비하는
‘이틀 양식’의 만나이며, 또 하나는 만나 항아리의 만나입니다. 하나님은 이 만나 항아리에 만나를 채워 ‘대대 후손을
위하여 간수하라(출16:32)’고 명하십니다.
그 이유는 믿음의 후손들에게 하나님께서 어떻게 이 백성을 사랑하시고 보호하시고 인도하시는지를 알도록
시청각(視聽覺) 자료로 사용하신 것입니다.
‘다음세대’에 ‘다른 세대’가 되지 않도록(삿2:10)하시기 위한 하나님의 명령입니다.
우리 교회는 이 만나 항아리를 간수하는 교회가 되기를 바랍니다. 믿음의 계승을 위하여 성도의 가정에서도,
교회도 이 노력을 더 하는 올 한해가 되기를 희망합니다.
