1 ★NOV 1st they got rid of NESN..the only place in New England you can watch Red Sox and Bruins games... this was the one of the reasons i signed up for YouTube tv....but the price didnt drop... So the DVR lately is sucking monkey balls, half the stuff i record shows up a week or 2 later! Or not at all 99% of the times the shows don't show up in my library, i have to go search for them! They need to fix it seeing as the price went way up for 8 whole channels and they didnt get A&E haha
1 ★Can't cancel my subscription. Have followed the steps in the app and I come to a dead end. Follow instructions posted to Google, same result. The reason I want to cancel is because we keep getting location errors but we haven't moved in almost 6 years. The first 4 years were fine, in the past 1 or 2 years we've come across several issues, but the location error is the hardest to get past and we lose 4-7 days of TV time everytime.
1 ★The service is good. The app is absolute trash. It will regularly disconnect or not play the channel that you intend when trying to cast. It will instead play whatever channel you were previously casting. The only way to resolve is to force close the application. Cast from another application, then go back to yt tv and attempt to cast again.
3 ★The app was cool until I moved. You can only change the location in the app twice a year, and once it has been exceeded, you no longer have excess to the app. You can log in, but you can not watch a thing. I've contacted customer support, but no reply. I had to cancel my subscription. I'm now waiting on 2024 to update my location.
1 ★At random times the cast will disconnect from the paired TV. This issue is unique to the YouTube TV APP. This issue isn't experienced with YouTube, Amazon, Vizio, or ESPN+ apps. I've cleared, uninstalleed, reinstalled, the application and this doesn't resolve the issue. Update 11/13/2023. The app is worse than ever. Now every 15 minutes this garbage Google app loses it's cast. Thank you for providing complete caca Google.
2 ★This app has an inexplicable omission of basic features. 1) There is no program guide. You can see what is on right now. Want to see what's on in one hour? Tough luck! You can't look ahead. 2) Want to record one show if a series? Tough luck! You can't select one episode you have to record every episode on every channel including repeats. 3) Want to delete something you recorded? Tough luck! You can't do that either. These are such basic things. How are they omitted???
2 ★The YT TV app is too restrictive! I Love the YT TV service but the mobile app is extremely restrictive! We used to be able to use the live TV tab as a program guide look ahead to hours in the near future and add recordings if we see something we want to watch. Now it ONLY shows what's on each channel RIGHT NOW and won't let you see what's coming up. It is very frustrating. Why make us have to go on the TV or on a computer to set recordings when it could be done on our phones??
5 ★Still needs some additional features to be rated higher: 1. A one or two week tv guide so you can choose which shows to record. 2. The ability to continue watching on a different device... that is, when switching devices, let me start watching where I left off on my earlier device. 3. Remember my choices for sorting. It's a real pain everytime you start the app you've got to set your sorting options.
1 ★Let's start with the live grid...it never displays the custom setup. I've got all of my Rokus and phone set to the custom setting but they only show the default. Then there's playback from my library. If I start a show and have to pause or fully exit, it doesn't remember where I left off. Lastly, on my phone, I cannot scroll ahead on the live version like a traditional grid. I have to search for what I want. Horrible especially when I want to catch all my sports programs. Fubo is looking good.
1 ★The ads are so repetitive. I've seen the same THREE ads on a whole season and it's an expensive subscription to watch 9 ads at random intervals ranging from 3 minutes to 12 minutes. The app is very clunky. I just know the person who programmed it prefers hulu over netflix because Jesus is everything difficult to navigate. It shouldn't be too different from the actual youtube app. I should be able to pull the video down and see the series' season list of episodes. If I could say more, I would.
3 ★Somewhat disappointed... I have had experiences more often than I'd like, where while watching live TV, the streaming has choked for extended periods of time. I checked my bandwidth at the time this was occurring, and I was able to confirm that I was getting the maximum download speed that my ISP provides, and it's plenty good enough for streaming, which is 400 mbps. They use geolocation to offer local streaming, which is cool. But it's not cool when you use a device that doesn't have it. 🤦
3 ★If you are a sports fan read this. There is no option no record extra time. UPDATE: they seemed to have figured this out. Now...when we want to watch a recording from the DVR, we have to watch ads. We can't forward passed them. When I do forward to the part I want, more ads. I just watched 4 minutes of commercials before I could watch what I wanted. 2 minutes as soon as I turned it on & 2 more minutes after I reached the part I wanted to watch. DVR recordings are converted to VOD automatically
