3 ★If doorbell call isn't answered by a device but rather stopped by opening the door, it sends the Oneplus 6T into a permanent calling state, where unlocking the phone yields a black, uninteractable screen, or showing the lockscreen. Restart is necessary to regain proper phone control. Re-installing the app temporarily fixes this. Also sometimes app needs to be force quit in order to connect to the system, it stalls on connecting screen. Other than this, the app and the system is a lifesaver.
3 ★Niko Home Control app has significantly improved in the last couple of months however still one remaining issue is there. When the application has been opened before and you re-open it, it simply keeps loading. You need to kill the app and re-open it but that typically takes too long if somebody is ringing your doorbell Some additional features that would be nice to have: - Allow sensor data like temperatures to be visualized in the application - Enable access control on profiles so that I can allow my cleaning lady or parents to come in only during certain times of the week. Profiles are currently only available on the home control though screen which is a nice commercial decision but very limiting for the mobile app.
4 ★Not working for me anymore since the update. After connecting to my installation the spinner keeps loading and nothing.. Also when accepting door call on the touchscreen my phone keeps ringing. Please fix the app so i can use it again. Logging out, clearing cache, reinstall app,.. Nothing works. It does work on my girlfriends iphone.
1 ★Totally agree with the comment on app permissions. It's just a technical app, why the hell would it need to access my contacts??? Or the photos, or record audio? niko doesn't even bother to answer or explain, they sold the item, got the money, don't care now if I can use it or not. Hope others read this before buying.
4 ★Works good. Intuitive interface. Handy dashboard. Please use caching so the app loads instant, now it takes a couple of seconds.
1 ★The permissions you ask for are outrageous: why do you need to know my location, record audio, access my files and read my contacts? Blocking me from getting into the app unless I accept all of these is horrible. Please only ask permissions at the time you need them and explain users what you will do with them.
