1 ★The waterproof smart plug turns itself off from wireless mode before the app finds it, so it never gets found. A total waste of $24.95 that the plug cost plus the hour of my time to attempt to make this work. If you're foolish enough to buy this take it back right now. It's a waste of your time and money.
1 ★Won't connect Won't let me sign in, connected to 2.4Ghz connection. Try to recover password, says "account doesn't exist", but try to make account, says "account already exists". Total waste of an app
1 ★Malicious, now non-functional app. Started out as laughably bad but it at least used to work, back in 2017. No updates since then have fixed the app back to a usable state. I've tried on more than ten devices; the app is simply broken. Which is a hard shame, because some of the Vivitar-contacted hardware is so decent in design and function: a 1080p, motion detecting, wireless camera with a built-in storage and two way intercom! What's the catch? Software that is inherently broken with zero devs.
1 ★The app works fine for me, easy to use and all. The reason for the 1 star though is because I get a notification about 50 times a day that the app has crashed, regardless of if i ever opened it or not. I cannot scroll through my phone's screens without a crash. I have to go into settings and force stop the app just so it would leave me alone, but that is only a 1 hour fix.
1 ★This app just doesn't work. Bought an outdoor plug and saying password is wrong. Then when you try to get password says account doesn't exist. Just an awful look. Junk!
1 ★Can't recognize wireless ssid to save its life. I have two ha-1011 smart plugs. The app found the 2.4 network for installing one plug, but absolutely refuses to find the same network for the other plug, despite using every outlet i have and recycling my router. Junk plug, junk app. Fix it, Vivitar. Update 3/15: the app can't reliably stay connected to the other plug and increasingly wouldn't turn on the lights on schedule. I'm done. Bye, Vivitar. Your product is expensive for pure junk.
1 ★Installed the app twice. Couldn't get the camera to recognize the phone or Wi-Fi. Tried everything. This is going back to the store before the return time is up. Called customer service and they said they're having trouble with the app, and in a few days they'll have it working. Still not working a week later. However, I don't want to be stuck with $30 worth of useless plastic, so back it goes.
3 ★Great app! I very well use out of it and some times the Wi-Fi cuts off and you'll have to change. And log in again
3 ★That was my original post but ALL things I reported through the app when it would crash have just been fixed. Maybe they are moving up! so I went from a 1 star to a 3 star! ****HUGE MISTAKE! Invested a few hundred in smart home security devices but they are all run by this app and it's the most unstable unreliable app I've ever used! HUGE MISTAKE! RUN!****
1 ★Stopped using these cameras, like I have said before it's such a bad coincidence that it happens to download motions so well with the paid subscription $10 its outrageous by the way but with the SD card it's missing the exact same videos. When I first purchased 2 of the cameras it said on the box there was no paid subscription, well there was!!! Deceptive company!!!!! Issue has been ongoing for over a year, emails to the company were never answered since December of last year.
1 ★Sound from my camera is beyond awful. The video is behind by seconds of real time, sometimes it pauses & then ffwds. Customer service is w/e. When I told them the sound isn't audible, they told me to uninstall & reinstall it. It's the CAMERA. Not app! Same "solution" when I said the camera doesn't pick up motion/sound like I have it set to. EVERYTHING is up to date, but for the 1yr I've had this, it doesn't work half as well as it should. & $5/mnth for catching the aftermath video of "events" 🖕
1 ★This is just about one of the worst apps I've ever tried to use. It's so bad that it makes the outlet borderline unusable. It requires you to have an online account that it logs into (even just to flick a light switch on or off, mind you) and it is unable to log into this account about half of the time. When it finally does the switch takes multiple tries to actually turn the outlet on or off. Now it has completely lost the ability to log in at all, and won't even let me make a new account.
