1 ★For the past 3 weeks, I can't login to the app. I can login to the online portal, but not the app. I go to reset my password and it gives the error "your new password can't be the same as the old one". You have deals that can only be redeemed in the app, but how can you redeem them when the app doesn't work!!!! This is so FRUSTRATING when you are in the store and are trying to get the app to work for 10 minutes until you just say Heck with it. Next time I'll go another grocery store.
1 ★Wow, what an incredibly bad business decision. They removed the weekly flyer from the app. Their answer is that the flyer is accessible by browser. And it gets much worse. The coupons are one long stream to see. No means to look at coupon categories. I would hope the browser app is not so badly screwed up too. Sadly, developers aren't planning to fix this, so have removed the app from my phone, and stopped shopping at Tom Thumb. Idiots!
5 ★love to shop at my local Tom Thumb! such deals on meats, produce and basically all departments! I can use the App to clip coupons and either shop online and do curbside pickup or shop in store! It is so convenient and always stocked. the store associates are friendly and helpful too! the store is well designed and always cleaned clutter free which makes it easy to navigate.
1 ★Does not work half the time. Can not add items to my cart. On search on any item milk, bread etc error message. First 6 months of this year never had a problem. After that every other week exoerience a oroblem. Have to search through previous orders to add to cart. Forget ordering an item you have never bought before. Call in all you get is install new app advice. .
1 ★This app has been constantly crashing for a month. Customer Service acts like I have done something while I have been using this app for almost 2 years. I am totally frustrated, but was finally able to place an order to use my rewards before they expired. For quite awhile this app worked fine and I gave it a good review. Kroger has delivered the last two times because I just got too frustrated to try getting this app to work.
1 ★I liked having all the coupons for both aupermarkets in ONE app! Not sure why they changed it is not very user friendly. It was very hard to find the meny to log out and sign in with another account and can't login due to it not letting me chosse. I know that eventually I will find out but this whole separate apps by location is a bit complicated to move around with. Please bring back the old one.
1 ★For those experiencing the location select over and over, it's because you're still using the 'Safeway' app and not the new (forced download) 'Tom Thumb' app (NEW ICON). I really can't understand why they decided to change the previous application when it was working just fine, at least for in-store it was. Maybe they became over-focused on online shopping ease, which I don't even use. So likely an attempt to help a minority of shoppers (online) at the sacrifice of in-store? Sad.
2 ★You should have asked a woman for her input on the new app design. The filters are extremely limited, there should be separate search feature for groceries vs. coupons, there should be a way to see what coupons you have clipped (filter).. without these the user is stuck scrolling through your app endlessly. This app needs work.
1 ★New update is HORRIBLE. Either the app just shows a blank screen after the splash, or it takes 10+ minutes to finally populate so that you can actually shop. I don't know what you guys broke, but you need to fix it, stat.
3 ★The app works well. Good features and would be 5 stars except that every time I open the app I am forced to watch someone taking a bite of food.... this is really off putting. I do not like watching people eat.
2 ★Update 2023: its been broken again for a while, phone# doesn't work, self checkout doesn't work. It's not as exhausting because they figured out they can send you through assisted checkout, but it's a pain. Just make the QR work on self checkout, it's been months Update 2021: fixed temporarily 3 hour shopping.. The idea was great, but then it broke. The store tries to help, eventually they fix prices manually, but they run you through a lot of hoops first.
1 ★There is always something wrong with this app. Orders don't get sent, the payment glitches, app freezes, loading forever. Customer service is awful, and that's not even including the problems with delivery.
