HomeWAV is a cost effective and innovative way to allow those incarcerated in Detention Facilities across the country to visit with their families and friends in a home environment without the hassle of traveling or setting up an appointment to visit the inmate at the facility.HomeWAV Mobile App Features:
- New to HomeWAV? Create a free account.
- Returning visitor? Login with your username and password.
- Fully registered and approved visitors will be able to choose the facility and add inmate.
- See available funds, add funds or transfer funds.
- Add, update or change credit/debit information.
- Only pay for the minutes you use. No plans or packages.
- Once logged in, the inmate will see you are available and can initiated a phone call, video call or message (*If allowed by facility).
- Visitor will receive notification once inmate is logged in.
- Easily schedule onsite visits (*If allowed by facility).
- No scheduling required for remote video visitations.
For best results, a WIFI connection and use of headset are suggested.

1 ★First month or so I loved the app. But been using it for almost 6 months and it keeps getting worse. Calls dropped, inmate not able to connect for 10 to 15 seconds, burry pictures, all while I'm connected to wifi. But you have to pay $7.50 to report a bug or problem. They charge enough and get enough from what ends up being pointless calls because the call is either dropped or somehow doesnt work. Plus it's their fault so why should we have to pay for their problem. I could say more but no room
1 ★DO NOT INSTALL!! Trust me, don't waste your time or money. It worked ok for the first week or so, but now Its been about a month, and it's become so bad that I literally haven't been able to speak to my wife for this entire WEEK cuz it just won't connect. Keep in mind now that my phone works absolutely perfect where I live. Full signal. But an app calling my number can't connect? OH.... and the $20 I just deposited is almost gone cuz it charges you even if you don't get connected. CALL COLLECT!
3 ★I am giving this experience 3 stars, which I would be willing to change if a couple things were fixed, like... Charging for video messages that were not recieved. It shows them there,, but never obtained recipient by This has happened twice. It is an affordable app though lol Also it keeps logging me out, and gives me the option to log out 🤷♀️
3 ★pretty good, but has a few issues: * but it doesn't activate speakerphone, so it's a pain to hear without headphones. * when answering a call, it whitescreens if the app wasn't already open. then I have to close the app, open it, and have them call again. * (not an app issue) the facility won't let us message through this service
3 ★I've been using this app for years and it is a wonderful service or inmates and those who love and miss them. But it crashes everytime a call comes in lately and also have a lot of issues with the audio. My phone says this app is causing issues and effecting performance of my device. 45 crashes in less than 2 months.
2 ★I was so excited to be able to have affordable calls and video chats in one. Then I started to experience constant issues with the app crashing everytime I try to use it. Also even though I stay logged in on my end it doesn't show that I am. It crashed 26 times in less that 48 hours. Can we please get some work done on this so I can spend my m im money with you again. Now it doesn't send calls threw constantly says I'm offline it's falling apart. Get IT FIXED
3 ★My experience with this app is even with complete Wi-Fi or complete data signal and a complete Network connections on the app our conversations are choppy and they cut in and out. Recently I can't even answer the calls it acts like it's going to answer and then it goes to just a white screen and nothing happens. I don't understand why it doesn't work anymore.
2 ★The phones are always distorted and cutting in and out, videos always get disconnected, I've spent over $2000 on their phone service and probably 1/3 of that has been frozen video chats or phone calls where I'm trying to figure out what is being said because of the static. And it sucks because you have no choice but to use it since it's the service the facility uses.
3 ★The video messages constantly freeze and still take money away. i have tried contacting by email with no response. I continue to use it to talk to my husband, but it would sure be nice if they could refund the messages and video time that freezes. Its very frustrating seeing my husband frozen and not being able to communicate especially when i am paying for it.
2 ★So this app is great to keep in touch with incarcerated loved ones. But when they call I hit connect/answer and it just keeps ringing and never answers. So I'm spending money sending videos to say call back for them to call me back and the app not even answer the video chat...it's a great app.. but it's become stressful and expensive to keep in touch. . . 2-Star rating.
1 ★Gives you an option to record a 60 second message to send it. Nope. You tap the button and nothing happens. I tried holding down the button to record and it didn't do anything until I released it and I got a short .5 second screen saying "recording" and the it kicked me out. Very frustrating.
1 ★I can't even set up an account. It tries to take my name from the ID and gets gibberish. I corrected it then had to scroll month by month from the expiration date back to my date of birth because it took the wrong date and won't let me just type it. After all that, the second step, it wouldn't let me proceed. Kept saying can't upload a recycled bitmap (what?!).
