Description

As one of the first email clients added to the store, MailDroid focused on making email usable again. We were used to blackberry email and we wanted something like that here. We did not find anything, so we wrote our own. Give our app a try and once you see all the features it has, I promise you won't be disappointed. You can always email us and we will reply right away with help (even on weekends! Yes, we love our users!).

How is MailDroid different? For starters, it is a pure email client which means we don't have a back-end server looking at your mail. You set up your POP, IMAP, Exchange connections and the client speaks directly to the server. Second, it is powerful and yet easy to use. If you don't want to use the PGP or sMIME encryption, simply hide it. Want to use the old navigation over the new navigation drawer, your choice. Want to snooze your email or send it at a delayed time, you can do that as well! Third, we have oAuth2 to Gmail, Yahoo Mail, AOL Mail, and Outlook. oAuth2 means that the app just gets a token from those providers and does not see any password. For those of you who have had issues recently with these providers (specifically Gmail and Yahoo Mail), this is the solution! We worked with all these providers to make sure you feel super secure. Fourth, we have integrated with important and helpful third party email companies like SaneBox! Finally, we support our users! We email you back when you ask for help!!

You are our users and we have built this mail client around feedback from users. We have no agenda of what we need to add anymore, just what people want us to add. We support so many email providers automatically and for those that we can't figure out the settings for, a manual option always exists. We have added support for so many features, that many times we even forget some of the things we have added. Here is a short list:

1. Complete re-write and not based at all on the standard email application
2. Idle Push for all IMAP servers that support it
3. Download attachments to your device using any file explorer or use the built in file manager to manage your files
4. Settings Support for signature, font size, ring tone, led color, icon selection etc.
5. Custom Mail Rules
6. Spell Check
7. Search your mail online (for IMAP servers only) or offline for both IMAP and POP3 servers
8. Password Protection
9. Microsoft Exchange 2003,2007,2010, Office 365 servers
10. Full WYSIWYG editor
11. Split screen for tablets
12. Calendar integration using ICS attachment (exchange 2007/2010 and CalDav support is coming)
13. Cloud storage integration to save attachments (dropbox, box.net, Google drive and SkyDrive/OneDrive)
14. Customize your inbox styles and themes to your preference
15. Spam Filter Plugin --> REQUIRES IN-APP PAYMENT
16. Email Threaded Mode
17. Light Flow, Tesla Unread, Apex Launcher, and Dashclock Integration
18. Different notification styles and icons
19. Identities/Aliases supported
20. Backup SMTP Provider
21. open PGP support using PGP Inline or PGP MIME
22. S/MIME support for all email providers
23. oAuth2 support for Gmail, Hotmail/Outlook, Yahoo, and AOL Mail
24. Support for SaneBox
25. Much more....

OK, that was a long list, but at least we left it with Much more... instead of going on. So why are you wasting time reading any more, just download the app and mail will finally work again for you!

NOTE: This is the ad supported model, a pro version exists as well on the store
NOTE: ACTIVESYNC IS NOT SUPPORTED AT THIS TIME!
NOTE: SPAM SUBSCRIPTIONS DO NOT CARRY OVER TO THE PRO VERSION!

Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or concerns.

1 ★was great for YEARS! ive had this app for 8+ years and never had an issue. this march it wouldnt send emails (yahoo). ive emailed the developer multiple times and i havent even got a response ((besides the generic one saying theyll respond later)) ive deleted to acctount and added it back (worked for one email), ive tried a different yahoo account, and even gotten a new phone this week. so now this app is getting deleted ! worthless for an email app to not send emails !!!
1 ★I have used this app for a few years and it was perfect. Then all of a sudden I had to log back in everytime I wanted to send a mail and it got terribly frustrating. The developer said it was due to new rules by yahoo etc. but when I followed the developer's instructions it still failed so i had to say goodbye to it.
4 ★Great but flawed. Great in that it allows e to so much that I cannot do with gmail - and easily - eg. ensure plain text emails, full access to headers, - and it has a well designed user interface- e.g. things accessible dkrectly rather than indirectly [multi-click] BUT it keeps on asking to check license [why every few days?!] and often it just hangs.
2 ★If you write a an email or a response to an email on your smartphone it won't save it. You'll lose the work you spent hours producing if you hit the wrong key. So don't write long emails with this app. You'll lose 'em! Other than that it's not bad, but it will still suck the life out of your phone while you write.
5 ★Very good app. After struggling to find a replacement for the Samsung stock email app, which struggles to keep up to date my emails, I found Maildroid which I think is a very good replacement and has worked flawlessly downloading all emails as soon as they arrive.
2 ★I was hoping to use this, as ive been losing my mind since they phased out Google Inbox, the whole reason i dont want to use Gmail is because it is not sorted and organized. you have to use (paid) sane box integration and their spam filter requires you refer 10 people or pay. and the ads. the whole purpose of having a clear inbox is to avoid the dozens of email ads, and this doesnt have the features google inbox have. it needs work. I am giving it 2 stars because I appreciate the encryption.
3 ★Disappointed, I used app for several years but author stopped updating it and it locks up on occasion now. Sadly I am going discontinue using app as it requires a complete reboot to get it to work again when it locks up. (You can exit app but it will not work until a reboot) At one time I seriously considered buy app to remove ads but not after author stopped updating it. Switched to Blue Mail.
3 ★Unable to send mail. The past week or so, I am unable to send email from my maildroid app. It states 450 error mailbox unavailable. I have emailed support twice and have not received a response. Otherwise, I have been a user of this app for over four years with no isssues.
3 ★It has a lot of freezing up and doesn't automatically refresh when marking items for deletion. It got so bad, my phone was barely functional. Even Verizon couldn't help me. Had to uninstall app and reinstall so my other app updates could happen. Thinking of switching to some other email app on my cell phone. Researching that now.
3 ★I've had Maildroid for years. It''s been fine most of the time and has a password where a lot of the apps don't. But when it goes down it goes down hard. I right now could not send emails due to a "bug" and cannot retrieve emails in the last 3 months. This happened once before but eventually fixed..
1 ★this app worked fine in November when installed it on my new Google pixel 3. in March it stopped sending emails. i emailed the developer who told me to remove my account and add it back, which worked once and failed every time i changed locations. i tried uninstalling and reinstalling and i still can't send emails from my Yahoo accounts. what changed? update:. no response from developer except for a request to provide a review. here it is : they stink
4 ★Super nice! Love the sober simplicity of it. Clean sober and linear design, the layout looks rather professional, nice dark theme, very explicit and exhaustive yet minimalistic settings system. Barely any learning curve; simple yet The application is also very light; hence it starts super fast, and the handling is without lags. Is there a meh? Yeah, ish; a layout one: once you do a long tap to make the tick boxes show-up, it shifts every message aside, hiding like 15% of the message previews.
