NOTE: WE ARE AWARE OF A LICENSING ISSUE DUE TO THE NEW GOOGLE PLAY VERSION JUST RELEASED A FEW DAYS AGO. WE ARE WORKING ON A SOLUTION!MailDroid is an Exchange/POP3/IMAP Idle Push mail client written from the ground up and and not based on the stock mail client.
This is the Pro version of MailDroid and contains NO ads. The pro version does contain some extra features that are not available in the ad version. Support for the pro version is the same as for the ad version (email only and no phone).
PLEASE DOWNLOAD AND TRY THE AD VERSION BEFORE BUYING. THE AD VERSION IS FREE!!!!
ACTIVESYNC AND CALENDAR IS NOT SUPPORTED YET!
SPAM SUBSCRIPTION (IN-APP PAYMENT) DOES NOT CARRY OVER FROM AD TO PRO.
*INSTRUCTIONS FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE USING THE AD VERSION*
1. If you are on version 4.77 for the Ad and Pro version, most settings will transfer automatically if both are installed; however, we still suggest that you make a backup by exporting your settings to your SD card from the menu in the ad version, settings, import/export, export screen. Please be sure to click select all at the bottom of the screen or select one by one what to export. NOTE: Starting with version 3.24 you can now export out your pop3 emails in MBox format to export and import through different versions of MailDroid using the backup pop3 menu item under settings. Emails will NOT transfer automatically at this time.
2. Uninstall MailDroid Ad version (you don't need it anymore and can uninstall it at any point)
3. Install MailDroid Pro
4. On the accounts screen, import your settings using import legacy if you exported settings prior to 2.90 or choose import if you are on version 2.90 and above.

1. MailDroid Pro does not require the extra permissions required for ads

How to install MailDroid Pro - Email App APK on Android phone or tablet?
Download MailDroid Pro - Email App APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page
- Tap Security or Applications (varies with device)
- Check the Unknown Sources box
- Confirm with OK
Go to Downloads
- Open Downloads on your device by going to My Files or Files
- Tap the APK file you downloaded (com.maildroid.pro-v5.21-ApkClean.apk)

Q: What is an APK File?
A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

5 ★Without doubt the most customisable email client around. 'Set up Rules' was what attracted me. Now I have subfolders for important people so their messages don't get buried in my Inbox along with hundreds of other emails. There is a Spam option (under £5 a year) too. If you really want a full function email client with all the bells and whistles, this is it!

1 ★App is gradually going down hill. Used to be my only mail app until it quit sending emails on Yahoo and I have to log into Yahoo every time I needed to send something. Then, in a couple day period it used up almost 50 gig of data on my network at the house. I had to remove the Yahoo account and install Yahoo's mail app. Now the data usage is back to normal. Not happy at all. I'm rural and my internet is restricted at home so it caused major issues and ran me up over 100 gig for the month.
1 ★Really needs an update to work with yahoo mail - unable to send mail and difficult to receive and read mail. I tried to contact dev multiple times over the last few months hoping for an update or workaround because I really liked this email app vs. others. Finally writing a review about this because have not received any response from them or fixes. To be fair, it still seems to work fine with other email providers.
1 ★NO RESPONSE FROM SUPPORT. UNINSTALLING. I can't with this app anymore. Sending attachments fails. Getting "unknown SMTP host" and "IOException while sending message" errors. Got another app, my emails work perfectly. I've stuck with this app for a long time. Sad to possibly have to let it go. Awaiting an update to see.
5 ★I've generally relied on native email apps for my Spectrum/TWC account, and was a bit lost when I realized that the LG V40 didn't have one. I had about given up finding one that I liked, and would properly synch with the RoadRunner site. Maildroid looks like a keeper; already uninstalled 2 different email apps that I had been testing. liked it so much i upgraded to Pro.
3 ★At first I try to login my gmail in maildroid, but google stop me to do this, I feel a bit frustrating and let it go. Then I login with my other mail but the app continues to crash, what the hell with the app? After thinking about this I finally realize the crash may related with license check. Personally I disable the Google Play store expect I need to update apps or something else. But I don't want enable Play store all the time, In a word I shouldn't buy maildroid.
4 ★Highly configurable. Unable to add Gmail on this phone, Note 10+ 5g, was able to on my Note 8, hense the 4 star rating. Other than that a really great app.
2 ★I get a lot of "error contacting licence server" messages. "Make sure 'background data' is activated" the app says then. Also, then I'm unable to see/download any new mail; this is something I had to find out, the app doesn't say this. In the Data usage section in Android Settings I DIDN'T activate "Disable background data on mobile networks" for MailDroid Pro. But for the Google PlayStore I've activated "Disable background data on mobile networks"; I did this because I don't have unlimited data per month but only 250 MB. As long as my phone is connected to a WLAN the MailDroid Pro app stays happy. But only a few hours of mobile network connection can give me the "error contacting licence server" and secretly make me unable to see/download any new mail.
5 ★using this software Pro Edition for few years now with confident could write review... straight to the point: is one of the best email platform for Android to manage all your accounts in one place also instant mail notification once you receive new email. In addition you have numerous option to customize your email setup , signature, colors font ,much more....
2 ★Good folder management, but messages saved sort by time added to folders instead of message date, so there's no sync with the servers? I wish the filter button had Sort By also. Search will only search inbox. Folder Search will only search folders' name. There's doesn't seem to be Search or Sort for any messages in the folders? Delete from Device & Server does not work. When I get an Authentication failure error, how do I find out which email account?
