Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

User's Reivew

5 ★Unbelievably good. I have an old S4 that chugs slowly using the Gmail app and sought a more lightweight client. So I was amazed just how fast and featurful K9 is. It does everything I need it to do and leaves no feature compromises while also being very fast and snappy on my phone. 10/10.
2 ★I have been using this app for several years and until recently it has been a great app. Now, it fails to check for mail at any time interval you set it to. I need to force a manual refresh to get mail which is useless. I'm now looking for an alternative that works.
5 ★Excellent. Nice to finally have some guaranteed privacy. Works nicely with multiple accounts.
4 ★Been using this app for years, tried one and another once in a while, but even not being perfect, I always end up electing k9 as my daily email app. The biggest lack, in my opinion, is not being able to deal with the most actual exchange server definitions
5 ★For those saying this has been abandoned, it hasn't. Go to github and download the latest version. It IS still in active development! It will eventually show up here. Be patient!
2 ★It has some good elements and it's very responsive but unfortunately it is effectively abandoned. They're saying it's not but it hasn't been updated since 2018. I was forced to switch to a different app.
1 ★Yikes, this is a blast from the stone age. It hasn't received any updates since 2018 and also the UI looks like it's from the 80s. Or more accurately, from Android KitKat era. The devs probably don't care, but oh well. Well on their way out anyway, less consumers. On the flip side, it was an enjoyable experience many years ago but it's outdated and irrelevant now.
3 ★"Authentication failed. Please update password." Every phone I've used K9 Mail on has had this error. My password does not need updating and it has not changed. I want to like K9 but this is a recurring bug with no solution online so I have no choice but to use something else. Shame
4 ★I like this app it works well and does what it's supposed to. It could do with an update not in functionality, as it does what it's supposed to, but it could do with a tidy up and a face lift
5 ★After testing many e-mail clients for Android k-9 is definitely the best solution. Has clear simple friendly interface, works smoth and fast. I use it for 5 email addresses. There are no annoying ads and the program is free. What do you need more in this matter?
5 ★Great app and I have been using it since galaxy s2 but lately it has started giving me errors and shuts the app down and doesn't do the job it usually does. Is there a new update coming up for it? Or is this problem going to stay?
4 ★Good but not great - had most functionality you'd expect from an email app, but some odd bugs: Will sometimes popup that there's an email and the notification vanishes instantly Can't relocate items once deleted (so if accidentally deleted or moved to junk, unable to move back to inbox)
