A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Works well, but slow to load. When I open the app, it takes about 20 seconds to load. I could grab the remote more quickly. Also, cannot use the app when I am not on my home WiFi network, so I cannot open or close anything remotely, even using Alexa. Otherwise, the app works well.
1 ★Two FULL days to setup MyLink. The support was great but took several different paths to setup. Now a total pain for update. Invested 1 hour and nowhere. The wifi radio is awful. I have an Asus 88U that is 15' from the device, but must relocate next to router. At 15' the router indicates a -55db signal good enough for streaming HD on TV 20' further away. I have WINK, RING, iHome, Nexia, Honeywell, Alexa, NVR and several other smart devices and platforms - this is simply the WORST of all.
4 ★Generation 1 can be a tough set up, 1st time was easy, after firmware's, issues connecting to wifi at set up. I now have version 2 and set up is much easier. I find integration with Alexa clunky due to the verbiage needed to get blinds and drapes to react. I think that's more an Alexa issue. Timed open/close schedules are flawless.
1 ★Very difficult to set up. Cannot reorder the groups. Limited to 16 groups and devices. Should allow creating a hierarchy of groups: groups within groups instead of having to program each group with every single device. Does not allow adding or removing a single device from an existing group. To do this the whole group must be reprogrammed.
1 ★They developed this app thinking everything would just work. It almost certainly won't. And then you'll be screwed. I should have expected this when the company that installed the blinds (with whom we were very happy) said they would not sell or support the myLink. Somfy "support" has still not responded to requests for help after a couple weeks. I'll be sending back the replacement myLink too (I figured maybe it was just bad HW the first time).
2 ★Controls the shades ok but the peogram is very slow to load and theres a significant lag time for the shades to react to a command. Also the program doesn't have the capability to tell you whether shades are up, or down or part way when operating remotely. So, no way to stop shades precisely in a partly open or closed position or tell exactly where they are in relation to fully open or fully closed.
5 ★The app is great but the setup is challenging if you've never done it before.
3 ★Takes a long time to load the app, and the interface isn't very clean. Also wish there was a widget that I could pin to my home screen.
1 ★Just hard to use missing items that re required to be there. Also the app is not working because it stays full screen and can not use any buttons
1 ★Alexa is broken. At least for new users of the app. Spent a week trying to link this app to my Amazon Alexa unsuccessfully. Called support hung up after waiting an hour. Emailed support, days later told it's broken new version coming next week will fix it. Luckily my $20k in blinds still under warranty and can be returned if they don't work as advertised. Speaking of advertised, does not work away from the home, as advertised. Only works if you are directly connected to same wifi.
1 ★What a joke. Seriously somfy you should be ashamed with this product. The app will lose connection every 20 seconds. I have the hub plugged right next to my Google wifi . I have tried to reset move it ... I tried all three somfy hubs. Wow all junk, all do not work. I have Lutron, August, myq, hue, ring and no issues with any other smart device . Definitely will be calling my dealer for a refund.
3 ★Couldn't complete set up on my Pixel 3. Kept freezing on Step 2. Downloaded the app on my Pixel C tablet and went through setup quickly. Now everything seems to be working fine. Was able to add my Somfy's to my Pixel 3 app after setup on the tablet. Good thing I had that old tablet around!
