RouterNet app doesn't use the native wifi hotspot which is now blocked in android 6 and above, instead it creates it's own Wi-Fi hotspot using Wi-fi Direct in a new and elegant way to make your device act as a wifi hotspot and wifi extender in the same time using WiFi Direct.

Download RouterNet - [root] Wifi tether APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:

3 ★Seem to work for most web surfing usage with other devices but I can't get it to work with the waze app that I normally use for navigation. Google Maps and navigation does work with the hotspot though.

4 ★It worked for few days and now it does the same thing as native android hotspot. It draws data from hotspot, not the internet. Even when using proxy on rooted device. Waste of 3 bucks.

5 ★I didn't feel like paying 10 bucks a month more for sharing my internet connection which would have been 70 a month and this app helps transfer your internet to your laptop or whatever very good job

2 ★This app does not work for privatizing Chromecast via creating a new Wi-Fi connection with your mobile phone without using mobile data and using existing Wi-Fi.

5 ★Love this app if you have root this app is for you best hotspot app you can get with rooted phone I am using this on a galaxy grand prime.

4 ★It should use the 5Ghz band if it doesn't so it can speed up connections. Other than that the only issue I had was it didn't allow devices to connect although I was entering the correct password multiple times. I checked many times and reattempted to connect but didn't work. I done this about more than 10 times now.
