1 ★Yeah, with the exception of phone as a key to operate the truck, this app is useless. Note to Ford: Rather than referring users with issues to a support team that really are not easily accessible and can't fix the app, put your efforts on addressing our issues and work on this app! As a Tesla owner for 5 years, I'm spoiled on the convenience of using the app to control the climate, check the charging status ( my Lightning is stuck on 100% charged from 3 weeks ago), and manage the vehicle.
2 ★Bad UI that moves around while you are trying to hit buttons. Phone as a key that does not work. The car is great, the software is pretty bad. Why does the UI have to load in fresh every time I open the app. I didn't get a new car, nothing has changed. Cache that information somehow.
1 ★it is a horrible app, the only reason I use it is because there aren't any other options for remote start. the interface is obnoxious you have to hold down on a tiny circle to start the vehicle and you have to contort so your thumb doesn't obstruct the animation and you can see when it completes. it is also very laggy.
1 ★App works good. Helpful information. Last update my app had quite working, was hoping after two quite working reports would see some help. Been about 3 weeks and nothing. 6/12/20. 7/22/20 App has started back working with this update. 8/22/20 App doesn't work anymore just crashes!!!! 2/15/23 app back working, but missing a lot of services I use to have.
2 ★It said it deactivated b/c I skipped one day of scheduled start. This was frequent with older versions, but hadn't happened in a while. So I started remotely with my fob on the next day a scheduled start should've happened - & got a notice later that the scheduled start failed since engine was already running (but you said it was deactivated!). Now I can't get it out of battery saver mode at all for some reason - no scheduled starts & no starts via app. Why???
4 ★Has its flaws, and definitely some room for improvement - but all in all, it isn't bad. Hasn't bricked my phone, I don't notice any massive battery drain, just wish it had some more integration with the car OS. Considering how they're constantly updating the car OS - I guess I can see why keeping feature parity is difficult.
1 ★the app is really nice for starting your car in the winter, unfortunately there is only about a 40% chance that it will actually work. Edit: I would change to 0 stars if given the option. The new update to the layout of the app is absolutely atrocious, and I am constantly getting logged out and then asked the same terms of service and cookie setting questions, absolutely garbage.
3 ★it doesn't always work as described. Sometimes it's due to connection issues, but mostly glitchy app function. It was purported as a customer account for loan management/payment also but that hasn't worked yet, even after 5 or 6 long phone calls to attempt to fix it. disappointed but at least the truck has been reliable so far. 🤷
1 ★22 lariat, remote start works like 10% of the time. The other 90% it says, remote features disabled to preserve battery life. Drive longer it says, so I drive in sport mode over 30min and park at home. Checked app and no battery message, yay. Checked it again 3hrs later and it showed remote features disables to preserve blah blah. This is ridiculous, it has a 12v battery and hybrid battery, what gives? Why does the battery drain so fast? I get it's a budget truck, but cmon
4 ★I have owned 6 different Ford vehicles over the last 15 years that were equipped with Ford SYNC or FordPass capability. The early versions of the SYNC/PASS apps, going back to its introduction around 2008, were especially problematic, and poor ratings were "deserved". The apps have come a long way and are extremely improved.
1 ★The app worked great until this recent update. Now, nothing works. It was amazing to start my car remotely to warm it up or cool it off. As of November 20th, none of these features work. I have uninstalled, reinstalled numerous times. Very disappointing.
3 ★It's got great potential, but as of now is kind of missing the mark for me. Several times it has forgotten my vehicle, or will not remote start, or (un)lock the doors, etc. If the kinks were worked out, I would love this app. As is, it's still pretty nice. Just not exceptional.
