A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★I purchased a backbeat pro 5100 but cannot upgrade firmware via the app, the option is missing from the system menu. What a shame!
1 ★It constantly update 2 or 3 times a day and plantronics is not doing anything about it.
2 ★All I wanted was to customize the equalizer and it doesn't give that very basic option. Just two premade settings. The same goes for the ANC, just high and low.. both of which can barely be considered functional. I expected a lot more from a company with such a rich history. I won't be buying from Plantronics again.
1 ★2 pairs same problem, won't charge after a short time.
3 ★This review is for Plantronics' support and dev teams. I just purchased the BB PRO 5100's at the airport. I already had Hub app installed and it showed the BB PROs but they were "grayed out" reading unsupported by the Hub app. I downloaded the BackBeat app and it did detect BB Pros and immediately notified me of an update from fw version 13 to 15. Each time I tried run the update it stayed at 0% and I had a full 4G signal. Upon investigation i noticed my WiFi was turned on, connected to the airport WiFi, but I was not signed in. I suspect from the BB app's point of few WiFi is working with no issues, however, I was not signed in therefore it was blocked from accessing the Internet. I thought if I disable WiFi the BB app would default to my 4G connection. That worked, the BB Pros were updated. It appears the app defaults to WiFi and isn't aware of actual Internet access. The update process seemed to work after that, the BB Pro's disconnected and connected a couple times. At 99% the BB app displayed a message that my devices were supported in the Hub app and directed me to Google Play because I removed the Hub app after it reported the BB Pros were not supported. The Hub app installed then displayed the same unsupported message as before. I switched back to the BB App and it stopped at 99%. By this time I had to put them away and get to my car. The next morning I planned to troubleshoot further and the BB Pros were detected by the BB App and they showed updated on fw 15. I'm going to echo other reports that the BB App itself doesn't see BB Pros connected and they are connected to bluetooth and working fine in apps like Pandora. It takes a couple of putting them back and fourth in the case. The buds and app have great potential, however I have some more testing to do for the buds themselves concerning wind and over-all noise reduction for call clarity. Hope I've provided some helpful info.
1 ★I don't see much use for this app. It adds very little to using the headphones without the app. User guide says "stream a playlist, use a stop watch, customize volume settings and more". Don't see how you do the first two anywhere.
5 ★If you own the great in-ear headphones that are the Plantronics BBGO410 you need this app. Yes, its that simple. Bright and Bass EQ's, ANC high/low and off, battery time or % left and yes it has the must have feature of 2019 - Dark mode!!! enjoy 🙂🙂 p.s. apparently good for all other BackBeat headphones too
1 ★App tells me my BackBeat FIT 2100 is not supported and directs me to use Plantronics Hub?! I've already paired my headphones and customized its controls with an older version of this app! Now I can no longer customize the controls or even check my headphones' battery level through the app. Ridiculous! Please allow me to upgrade to an older version of this app.
1 ★Poor support, horrible app, overrated product. Can I give this ZERO stars? I have an mp3 player. Bluetooth is bluetooth. Connecting should not be a problem and my BBFit headset works fine with the mp3 player. Unlike the Backbeat Fit app, this one will not switch my earphones from my phone to my mp3 player. I sent a support request to Plantronics on Dec 15. They NEVER acknowledged the request and have not fixed the problem. For such an expensive product, this is UNACCEPTABLE.
4 ★some people are saying that the app won't find their headsets. I've found that putting the Bluetooth for the headset in phone mode allows the app to function. App works well now that I've figured that out.
5 ★Where is the connection switcher? Such a useful feature of the old companion app, I'm confounded as to its ommision here. edit. discovered that the phone connects to multiple devices that are paired so no need for switcher (changing to 5 stars).
1 ★User guide and website say this app can update firmware on the Fit 350. This app does not allow for updating firmware or any of the other features listed on the support site.
