Description
Tired of searching for your misplaced Plantronics headset or wondering how much charge is available on your headset’s battery?Most headsets are found under car seats, in pockets, or on a messy desk. For less obvious locations, acoustically locate your headset by sending it a tone so you can hear where it’s hiding. If your headset is out of Bluetooth® range (33ft/10m), or is powered off, then try the BackTrack™ activity log that maps where it was last in use.
How to find your headset:
• SEND A TONE: If you think your headset is powered on and within 33ft/10m of your phone, play a sound file through your headset and hear it tell you where it is. You can increase the volume or select an alternate tone from the library to improve your chances of hearing your headset. (Your media audio settings on your phone must be enabled.)
• TRACK IT: If you think your headset is powered off or too far away, review its recent activity on a time-stamped map to discover where your headset was last used. (Your GPS location services on your phone must be enabled.)
BONUS Battery Meter:
If your phone/tablet is running Android OS 3.X, 4.0.X, 4.1.X, 4.2.2*, 4.3 or 4.4 and it is paired and connected to any of the following Plantronics headsets, an on-screen headset battery meter icon will appear in your device’s Status Bar and a talk-time estimate for your headset will be included in your Notifications list. Download Find MyHeadset™ APK file from ApkClean, then follow these steps:
Update Phone Settings
- Go to your phone Settings page

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

5 ★I have lost many headsets in the past, only to realize I misplaced them several days or weeks later. I have used this app to find my headset several times. 3 at home and found so quickly and one time I left in a restaurant and location showed me where it was. Great app
3 ★Sometimes the history is missing. I don't know if that is my cleaner app removing that data or not. Would be nice if the history data could be stored to the cloud. The sound tone is very faint but given the small size of the blue tooth speaker what can be done. Perhaps platonic needs to design a blue tooth with built-in locating features. An external pinging speaker ? GPS built into the blue tooth ?? Maybe each time the headset disconnects out of range the marks is last location.
5 ★Wasted half an hour looking for my Bluetooth headset. I could see it connected to phone but couldn't locate it. This app located it. Two caveats. Ensure the volume is maxed on both your phone and the app's blue slider bar.
5 ★Sending a tone to help find your headset works well in a fairly quiet environment. This won't work in a noisy area. Backtrack could be useful as it tells you on a map where it was active last. Of course this wont help much of you be lost it in your house.
5 ★If you own a Plantronics Bluetooth then you know the agony of losing one. Well with this App you can literally track it and send a sound to it in order to locate a lost Bluetooth. This thing has saved the day for me twice. I tracked my dropped device, and then found it outside after dropping it at a friend's cookout. The sound is unmistakable. Just make sure you set it to "Loud & Obnoxious" to hear it over the background noise. Great App!!!
1 ★It asks me to connect my Bluetooth Plantronics headset over & over & it's connected! That's as far as the app goes. My Backbeat Fit is connected to my Samsung. I'm removing the app because it's worthless for me. Update: tried again today Sept. 16th & still does not work. Fix it!!!!
5 ★As long as battery is not dead it will definitely help you locate it. All Bluetooth ear pieces should have a beacon to locate!! Maybe go off in ear when leaving phone like older motos
5 ★Constantly misplacing my headset, I'd probably still be looking for it if not for this app! Or either would have gotten frustrated and bought a new one. I need this in my life!
5 ★I am dependant on the unit to avoid provoking sharp upper back injury pain. I only wish locator sound level could be turned up and GPS tracking ability for current position (while either off or on) would be made available.
5 ★I usually leave it in my work bag until I get home then I sit it on my night until I get ready to go back to work. Some how it got knocked behind my night stand the day before which I thought I took it to work but I didn't. I'm glad my phone connected to it because that's how I knew it was near. This app helped me because I wouldn't have thought to look on the floor behind my stand
5 ★When I realized that the headset had fallen off my ear, the Backtrack feature worked very well for me. It showed the location on the map where it disconnected. When I went to that location it showed when it connected. The playing of the tone didn't quite work for me maybe because I am hard of hearing. Still I found my headset in a minute and a half.
2 ★Didn't work at all if you don't have music streaming turned on in your headset, and no way to turn it on remotely. Useless. Add a way to reboot you headset remotely and I will give it 5 stars
