Приложение «Ирон чиныг» является официальным приложением глобального проекта «Ирон чиныг», направленного на сохранение и популяризацию осетинского языка, повышение интереса детей и молодежи к национальной литературе посредством прослушивания аудиокниг, способствующих обогащению внутреннего мира человека, повышению уровня культуры и образования, воспитанию патриотических чувств.Приложение предназначено для прослушивания аудиокниг и параллельного просмотра текста воспроизводимого произведения. Благодаря этому пользователь воспринимает информацию не только на слух, но и визуально, что в значительной степени способствует изучению языка. В приложение интегрирован осетино-русский словарь, позволяющий получать перевод незнакомого слова по ходу чтения и прослушивания произведения.
В пополнении аудиобиблиотеки и записи новых аудиокниг принимают участие артисты Северо-Осетинского государственного академического театра им. В.В. Тхапсаева и Дигорского государственного драматического театра. Начитанные профессиональными артистами аудиокниги помогают слушателям лучше прочувствовать характеры героев, понять суть произведения.
В рамках реализации проекта "Аудиопутешествие в мир сказок" аудиокниги приложения "Ирон чиныг" успешно используются в учебно-воспитательном процессе детских садов РСО-Алания при изучении осетинского языка и литературы.
