더욱사랑교회는 대한예수교장로회 백석총회 수도노회에 소속된 교회 입니다.
더욱사랑 교회란 이름은 찬송가 314장 ‘내 구주 예수를 더욱사랑’ 이라는 찬송가 가사에서 그 이름을 가져왔습니다.
지금으로부터 25년 전 막 주의 길에 들어선 목회 초년병 시절 예수님이 얼마나 좋았는지 예수님의 이름만 불러도 가슴이 뜨거워지고 감격에 겨워 눈물짓곤 했습니다. 특별히 내 구주 예수를 더욱사랑’을 부를 때면 더 큰 감동에 빠지곤 했습니다. 그래서 그 당시 만약 내가 하나님의 은혜 가운데 교회를 세운다면 ‘더욱사랑교회‘ 라고 부르리라고 다짐했고 그 꿈은 2007년 9월 9일 20십여 년 만에 이곳 고등동에 주님의 은혜가운데 더욱사랑교회가 세워지므로 이루어졌습니다.
더욱사랑교회는 먼저 예수님을 더욱 뜨겁게 사랑하고, 형제와 이웃을 더욱 사랑하는데 그 목적을 두고 세워졌습니다.
