O2 hat das Voicemail System durch eine neuere Plattform ersetzt. Die neue Plattform bietet eine verbesserte Visual Voicemail Funktion und deshalb ist es erforderlich diesen neuen Visual Voicemail Client zu installieren. Dieser neue Client ist nicht kompatibel zum alten Voicemail System. Bis zur Migration der Mailbox vom alten zum neuen System wird der alte o2 Voicemail Client funktionieren. Nach der Migration der Mailbox auf das neue System werden die o2 Voicemail Nutzer informiert, dass sie diesen Client installieren müssen, um den Dienst weiterhin zu nutzen. Beim ersten Start des VVM Clients muss das Handy im o2 Netz eingebucht sein. Um den VVM Client nutzen können, muss sich der Client bei der Voicemail registrieren. Dies passiert automatisch, nachdem der Client gestartet wurde und das Handy im o2 Netz eingebucht ist.

Wichtig: Damit die o2 Voicemail App ordnungsgemäß funktioniert, ist es erforderlich den Energiesparmodus für diese App zu deaktivieren!!!
Wird dies nicht gemacht, dann werden neue Nachrichten mit enormer Verspätung angezeigt.

o2 Voicemail ist eine Voicemail Lösung für Android. Mit Hilfe der o2 Voicemail-App werden Mailboxnachrichten automatisch in den Speicher des eigenen Handys geladen. 1 ★Registration fails systematically. I put my phone number in the indicated way and it fails systematically. Update: later in the day it went a bit further but with an error message: PIN change failed. Still it does not work.

1 ★Die Anwendung ist (hoffentlich nur derzeit) nicht nutzbar. Die Registrierung schlug zunächst ohne Erklärung fehl. Nach Durchsicht des Kundenforums habe ich über das Sprachmenü der Sprachbox die Funktion Visual Voicemail deaktiviert. Nun schlägt die Registrierung nicht mehr sofort fehl, wird aber auch nicht abgeschlossen. Dies gilt unabhängig davon, ob WLAN genutzt wird oder nicht. Aussagekräftige Meldungen fehlen. Die App teilt nicht mit, warum die Registrierung fehlschlägt, oder an welcher Stelle des Registrierungsprozesses sie gerade worauf wartet.
