A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.
Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?
A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading). As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.
Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?
A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.
Q: What are Android App permissions?
A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★This app is literally the best in class when it comes to VPN configuration and implementation in Android. I'm far more confident in what is happening on my phone using this app than any of the custom proprietary apps that the VPN providers supply, and in addition, you have total control over every aspect of how your connection is configured. Those complaining about pricing changes to a subscription based model clearly cannot appreciate the development time that goes into this app. Great work.
4 ★There are a lot of people complaining about going to subscription. the annual subscription proposed seems to be ~$7yr or $3.50yr if you bought the older app. To be honest, as long as the cost is low/reasonable I don't mind this IF it means guaranteed ongoing attention from the developer for an app that I rely on. At $3.50/yr I think that's not bad. $7/yr is pushing it. However, this is the type of app that requires timely ongoing maintenance for security.
5 ★Great auto-connect /disconnect. This seems to only app to offer such features. Automatically disconnect VPN on a mobile network. And re-connect automatically on WiFi, with the possibility to create exceptions for predefined known networks. You never need to check your VPN anymore. Plus with the switches can force simply a vpn connection overriding the autoconnect
1 ★Forcing everyone to pay every year is a misguided attempt at locking in money, but you can do this by providing every purchase up to 1 year of paid updates then the version locks until the next purchase. This is much more palatable than how it's currently worded. I won't support this model on principle.
5 ★Edit due to dev response: Thank you for your response and assurances. I'm not a fan of the subscription based model but understand the need for it. The legacy Pro product is 5 star quality and i expect this to be as well. My initial reviews were hasty because I was unaware of this change, so I apologize. Due to the quick dev response, I have updated my rating and would consider a subscription in the future. (Edited my other reviews too).
5 ★This is a great VPN app. I'd been using the now deprecated Pro app for years and I've always been happy with it. In my review for the old version I criticised the people complaining about the price being high. And now I can't help but do the same for those crying foul at the new subscription model. Behind any quality app is a person or people working and coding. And it turns out that having someone pay you once so you can service them FOREVER isn't sustainable. Why don't people get that?
1 ★the subscription method make sense if you also provide the VPN Account with it!, you are charging a subscription for something that is already out there for free, your business plan is not good, i am not using any vpn anymore but if I had seen that you ask for extra fee for new vpn protocols I would pay but as a lifetime feature not as a subscription! your app was the most expensive vpn client with new features which we bought and we also helped you to make it bug free or suggested new protocols
5 ★-update Thanks for the help. I had location permission on, but maybe it didn't take. turned that permission off and back on, and set the disconnect, and now it's working I think. -update 2- nevermind, after disconnecting from the phone hotspot and reconnecting, it's back to wanting to auto vpn the phone SSID even with location and disconnect set :-/ It's a Galaxy Tab S6 and the phone hotspot is on a Note 10+, if that helps at all.
1 ★OpenVPN Client - add *.vpn profile it works beautiful. VPN Client Pro - add *.vpn profile, imports correctly, asks for password, re-asks for password, re-asks for password, re-asks for password... Absolutely unacceptable if even your free section doesn't work. From changing your pricing model (to subscription) after a large following to your awful software this is literally the worst software I've used on Android since I started using it on my HTC Dream. Can't give minus stars which is the real tragedy here.
1 ★Subscription based model is ridiculous. Majority of the security issues that would come up are within OpenVPN itself, barely any work required by the developer for security. The Dev won't say how the TAP support needs to be updated so personally I think he's just making as much money as possible from it. For OpenVPN look elsewhere.
5 ★The one and only option for me. Tried the major apps for OpenVPN and none worked 100% the way I wanted and none was possible to work with home wifi (or at least offered quick and simple built in way to shut it down based on rules). This app seems to have it all. I don't know why is was never recommended anywhere when I googled...
3 ★I'm installing this on two similar devices. One is running Android 7.1 The other runs Android 8.1. Oddly, the VPN connection will not automatically start and connect on the 7.1 machine, but does on the 8.1 machine. Any ideas as to why this is the case? I reallyneed it to autostart and connect on both devices.
