5 ★Best VPN I've ever used

1 ★Not even a shadow of it's former self 😔. Extremely slow, constantly have to change location etc. I used Astrill from 2019 without a hitch, it was more expensive, but definitely by far the best. In 2024 it started to encounter problems, so I tried another service provider for 6 months and decided to come back to Astrill with a 2 year plan. WHAT A MISTAKE!! ITS EVEN WORSE THAN BEFORE!!! I had to extend my service with the other provider because Astrill is basically too unstable for constant use.

1 ★Just bought a year in December and already regretting... It just keeps getting worse and worse

1 ★Always automatically stopped, almost no use, hope can get refund

4 ★Not always reliable but my best option in China on the long term. More than 10 years with them! 2024 has been a rough year for Astrill in China and I hope they get back OpenVPN n 2025.

1 ★Astrill claims to provide private IP addresses and charges for them, but be ware, the servers they provide tend to break down and their team does not provide any prompt solutions to resolve the issue or provide compensation for the time lost not having access to the IP you paid for. If you would like to simply pay for a new address you are then forced to pay for another whole month of contract.

1 ★Very worst experience... New version can't be updated in television. The notification is popping on the screen before von is turned on..after turning on couldn't update it.. till now couldn't update it and its not working now.. waste of money.

4 ★Expensive but convenient (China) Worth waiting til black Friday sales, but once you add in other the extras (which should really be standard at this price!), it ends up costing a fair chunk of change. That being said, over my decade in China, I've tried plenty of alternatives, but this is the only vpn that just works, 99% of the time, without any faffing about with shadowsocks servers or running your own server. For ease of use and uptime for users in China, this is hands down the best.
