3 ★signed up for the 30 day free trial. got an invoice for $99.90 without any explanation or way to dispute it. website says as long as you use one device, you can use the VPN for free on android but there is no button to select that. 3 stars for the VPN working the entire 30 days without much issue. knocked off 2 stars for the invoice and the false "free VPN" thing. edit: I shouldn't be getting an invoice immediately after signing up for the 30 day trial. app could include more information
1 ★I've been using Astrill for 2 years. It makes me mad all the time. their online "24/7" chat doesn't work for months, messages via contact form can be not answered for days. if you need apk file there is no option to download it directly from the website. After connecting to the server my phone becomes a brick for several minutes. I was trying to get help from their support but they are not answering. so I got another VPN, 3 times cheaper and they helped me in a minute.
1 ★The Windows version works good but the android version is REALLY unstable! First of all you don't always get to the screen where you can actually connect to the vpn but get stuck at "please wait while we process your request". If you get to the screen where you can connect and successfully connect to a server, it always disconnects after around 5-10 minutes, no matter what server. Don't rely on this app for emergencies, make sure u have a backup vpn!
2 ★Half the time it doesn't work. As opposed to the windows version, the app version is terrible.
5 ★Great app to use my Astrill account on Android. My only complaints are minor which I'm sure could be fixed. One, it needs to be able to turn in horizontal and vertical display modes for use on a tablet. Two, it would be nice if I could also download and use it on my Android tv, other vpn can, it is about time Astrill could too :)
4 ★I think the app os really well put together. Everyone in my school uses this app as it is the most reliable. All and all i rarely have issues with connection and accessing my apps. The only issue im having is my account is running out and it wont let me email a friend to extend it or an option to pay another few months. Thats why im giving it 4 instead of 5.
1 ★DO NOT BUY SUBSCRIPTION. It works poorly on Android devices, they didn't update iOS version for years, and it doesn't work properly on Windows. The worst customer service ever. Last time I contacted Sales department and requested a refund, the guy just said I will transfer you to tech support, I've waited for 30 minutes, noone replied my messages,so I left the chat, and they did not contacted me back. THE WORST VPN. I paid extra 120 bucks for VIP servers, and they just doesn't work as well.
1 ★This VPN clearly states that is offers a FREE TRIAL WITH NO CREDIT CARD REQUIRED. Unfortunately, I just discovered that this is not true. Zero stars for false advertising.
2 ★Service is intermittent, with the server disconnecting itself sometimes over PC and very often over mobile. Rating 2 stars instead of 1 because customer svc was very responsive. They gave a solution that solved the problem but only for a few days. Now i have to keep resetting my IP and hoping for the best. Hope Astrill can fix server stability, especially for users in [C].
1 ★Window version is very inappropriate. It stops other PC software from using vital resources. After unistalling Astril, other software can operate properly. Even using standard Microsoft Windows software, MSconfig.will not stop the Astrill client software from hogging vitial communition operating utilities. This is a type of predatory software. What else are they doing??? VPN software needs to be transparent.
5 ★Great App, sometimes it gets slower but I guess the reason is because Ch..i..n..a is always trying to block all types of VPN. Ive been a client for 3 years and I will continue to be for the next few years. Every time I contact with them to solve a problem they promptly solve it. They really know what they are doing. If you are using Chin..e..n.ese technology it will probably not work as good as on Western (like Huawei vs Apple)
5 ★I loved I till the update and no it's not letting me connect anymore. But this only happens on my phone my comp and tablet work fine. Please fixxxxxx!!!! .......ok so very happy to change the rating to 5 stars because with the quick response they gave me about the problem i was having was wonderful and now everything is working perfectly. thank you so much for your quick response...
