10 जनवरी को ट्राई ने अपनी प्रेस रिलीज में कहा था कि कंज्यूमर्स के पास अपनी पसंद के 100 फ्री चैनल्स (एसडी रेज्यूलेशन ) चुनने का विकल्प होगा. 153 रुपये में ये चैनल मिलेंगे.चैनलों में फ्री टू एयर चैनल, पेड चैनल या पे चैनल या बाकी चैनल्स का ग्रुप हो सकता है। यह विकल्प पूरी तरह से कंज्यूमर्स के लिए ओपन रखा गया है। तय है कि कंज्यूमर अपने पसंदीदा 100 चैनल्स का चुनाव कर सकते हैं और इसके लिए शर्तें नहीं लगाई गई हैं. ट्राई के आदेश से कंज्यूमर्स को काफी सहूलियत हो जाएगी.
