Appsi is a free sidebar, it lives on top of all your application so it will always be available, whatever you are doing.

The SMS plugin comes with the following features:
Actions buttons to compose a new SMS or mark all SMS's as read (either one of them can be enable and disabled from the options menu).
Favorite contacts. Shows your favorite contacts and allows you to send an SMS message to them with one click.
Quick access to your SMS conversations. The SMS plugin will show you a list of recent conversations. The amount of items to show can be configured from the options menu.
A searchable list of all contacts, simply click a contact to show the message composer.
A lot of customization options, including: the action to perform on press, how to display the phone number, select which contacts to show in the contacts section.
