Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

3 ★Clean interface, a couple of useful plugins (Telegram, Facebook). Kindda disappointed by the fact that plugin development halted: whatsapp stopped working, xmpp never came up, missing OMEMO. Doesn't seem to be an interest in developing matrix or tox plugins. Audio/video could be useful via libjingle/jitsi.
5 ★Disa is awesome. WhatsApp sucks. It's a real shame that WhatsApp have blocked Disa users. All credit to the Disa developer in trying to find a way around the problem. For the record, I'll be spreading the message to dump WhatsApp and move to a better more privacy focused solution. Long live Disa!
4 ★Almost a perfect app, but the Telegram plugin isn't working on Huawei Nova 3i. The logs have been sent to support. From the logs it's clear that the issue happens at the authentication stage (so I cannot authenticate and start using the plugin)
4 ★Was very good but over the past 2 weeks, Facebook login keeps expiring. Update - App password method no better. Further update - problem seems to be due to running Disa on 2 different devices. Works fine as long as it's only one one device.
4 ★Only 26.5 mb. To solve 2 factor authentication issue with Facebook, follow these instructions derived from a user site: Use laptop to view the full Facebook site (desktop), go to Settings, Security, and down near 2 factor settings there’s an option to generate App Passwords. Generate a password for Disa and write it down. Use that as your password to log into Disa. Keep the password somewhere in case of new phone, reset, etc. You can re-generate an app (October 2019).
1 ★Unfortunately, since a few last updates (I believe) app crashes after 20-30 seconds. Basically unusable ;( Tried clearing cache, didnt help. I dont let Disa run in the background but I never did and it had worked fine before. Android 9, OP5T. Thats the only app causing trouble atm.
4 ★The only flaw I've found so far is the lack of ability to send gifs, you can receive them in FB messenger but you can't send them, quite a big flaw for many people I would imagine?!
5 ★Excellent facebook messenger alternative. BUT since the last update the support at least of showing the animated stickers stopped. Please fix it and it would be great to even implement full support for them (sending - receiving)
3 ★love the app except for one thing i cannot figure out. it drastically lowers the quality of photoa i recieve. I am unsure what setting i need to change to stop this but this is a deal breaker for me.
4 ★I've been using Disa since around 2015. It's only getting better with each update. I'd highly recommend this for people who do not need full features of Messenger but they still want to connect to the service.
3 ★A nice app to keep all your conversations together. But I cannot load more than 10 Facebook conversations at a time. If I could see all conversations on Facebook Messenger or other services, that would be great.
3 ★I like the app but it will not send GIFs for some reason
