薬用植物（ハーブ）から特別な方法で抽出した精油を使う療法がアロマセラピーです。アロマセラピーは気分転換や心身のリラックスだけでなく、その精油（エッセンシャルオイル）が、鼻や呼気、皮膚から血管に入り、脳や様々な臓器（細胞）に作用することが科学的に解明されています。
