Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

5 ★Updated the end of July 2024, this app is lifesaver! It's every bit worth the $9.99. It appears well researched and is user-friendly. You can choose whatever dietary restrictions you have and the app let's you know whether food items are green(go ahead), yellow, orange or red(danger zone...my words), and also provides a brief explanation why, which can be helpful. This APP IS extremely supportive in meal planning and grocery shopping! No books to carry around anymore!! THANK YOU!! : )
1 ★Content of the app is not accurate for histamine, colour coding contradict itself, for example yogurt is listed as yellow but then yougurt salad dressing is green! Doesn't make any sense and there are several of this clashes, do not waste your money for this useless app, you are better off just checking internet.
4 ★Not as good as the iOS version Dear Team, As I'm migrating to Android and I wanted to help, I bought once again the app but on Android this time. I must say the iOS version is more useful and intuitive, I even I can modify the amount of a portion, set the amount of intolerance I have and much more. I will correct my review to 5 once you improve the android version, as customer and having bought the product again, would be nice at least to have the main functionalities as before in iOS
4 ★I love this app. It's super helpful managing my 4 year okds histamine intolerance allergies and snas. However recently it's been greying out everything in thr list. There is just a teeny plait of color on the far left of the words to see if it's low moderate or high. It's a bit less of a quick glance now but still works.
5 ★Incredibly detailed and seems to be well researched. I use this app every time I go to the grocery store or out to eat. Thank you for creating this!
5 ★Why doesnt this app have any reviews?
1 ★Paid for this app, and it hardly has any food. I'm better off going online for every item I'd like to consume. Don't waste your money. It's never updated and only has basic food items, or food I've never even heard of. Simple items like cranberries, goji, aren't even in the app.
2 ★Expensive for what it is, it does show sources but some seem to be in direct contradiction of other papers I've read and there aren't detailed citations to say what is from where (when multiple sources are listed). A lot of the information is general (eg legumes) and the colour coding sometimes doesn't match the detail - for instance ramsons are flagged yellow on low histamine/tyramine diet despite not containing any and being onion family which is unproblematic. Data on other amines is missing
5 ★Information cited for nickle is out dated (2011) I appreciate this app because it made me realize that no combination of intolerances covered all my problematic foods until I included nickel allergy. In fact nickel accounted for all but my lactose intolerance. This lead me to dig for research and lead me to early research that indicates a correlation between IBS-D and systemic nickle allergy. I am now in remission for IBS-D.
5 ★Excellent app. Saved me from brainfogged hell, with simple and well laid out information. They even emailed me with the latest category of oxylates. After the monash low fodmap diet was no good for my condition, this one helped me through the difficulty of elimination diet. The categories are clear.
