【公告】「臺北市食材登錄平台」，將於2015/09/30下架，不便之處，敬請見諒。為掌握食品原材料、半成品與成品之供應來源及流向等相關資料，臺北市政府衛生局率先全國建置食材登錄系統，提供民眾即時的便利資訊服務。
因應社會環境變遷，父母同時上班，多為雙薪家庭，以致於大部分家長無暇兼顧孩子的午餐，市府教育局為了減輕家長的負擔主動辦理學校學童午餐，根據教育局統計目前每天有超過17萬個國中小學童吃學校午餐，平均一年的學校午餐費用高達16至17億元，學校午餐的價格便宜，如何真正掌握食材來源和安全性，讓學童吃的美味又安心，做好學校午餐食材供應鏈體系管理，透過衛生局建立的食材登錄系統，讓食物來源全都露，藉由資訊透明化，全民共同監督，讓學童吃得安心，家長放心。
臺北市政府衛生局一直以來都持續努力著期望給予市民一個健康飲食的環境，在衛生局的積極爭取下，市政府於101年『幸福臺北、全人照護』施政願景下，編列預算逐年輔導臺北市內示範食品業者建立追溯制度，透過產品原料採購、生產製造、銷售的紀錄，來建立食品安全管控機制。當有食品安全事件發生時，可透過追溯管理機制，快速釐清供應鏈相關業者，並追溯原料商，快速下架回收。透過學校午餐示範業者的推動，帶動示範性，長期建構一個完善的食品安全管理機制，同時也能提供消費者透明化的食品安心資訊環境。
