3 ★Call is clear and no interruptions in between which is great! One problem I've experienced is the service doesn't allow me talk all the minutes I paid for. The customer must pay for the minutes the phone keeps ringing, plus this service allows to use only the majority of the remaining minutes. Payment should only be applied for "actual minutes" used.
1 ★Call quality is average even with 200mbps line. Biggest issue is that the sound is very very feeble. Tried in 2 different phones. While I have no feeble sound issues with regular phone calls and with free apps like whatsapp, viber... as a paid subscribers I have problem with this app even when on speaker phone. They need to get this fixed asap or provide a way to increase the sound. Same issues even while using 4G/LTE. Not sure why Rebtel controls the sound without giving the option to the user.
1 ★Didn't work for me. First time it seemed to connect but there was no incoming call on the other end. After that it refuses to even connect. The good thing is they offer an initial offer of 1$ recharge, so I didn't lose more than that. Will stick to tried and tested apps like Ringo which work reliably.
1 ★It took multiple attempts to connect. It woyld either dialed to a wrong country or after a few ringing telling me the call canno bemade at this time without explanation. Yesterday after it was connected, during the conversation the progrsm repeated the receiver's earlier responses as if it's live conversation. This was scary. For a moment I thought the aging receiver had mental issues but it's the app!!
1 ★Mostly has good sound quality. Rate is fair. There are other times when you have drop calls, occasional Indian guy message, I guess it's equivalent to the number you dial cannot be reached? I'm just guessing. February 14, 2020 update. Multiple drop calls. Each call lasting only seconds. Been changing connection between phone and wifi. Really good wifi too, and it still drops
3 ★Rebtel calling is reliable in the respect that when you make international calls unless there is some serious technical glitch you will be connected. Comparatively, the Rate per minute is also competitive with the popular rates out there ... though it could've been cheaper to cater to a greater clientele. However, the major drawback on calls made on Rebtel is sound quality. Sound quality has not improved all these years Rebtel has been around, that sucks!!!
3 ★I used this app for over a decade. It has been the most affordable option for me to keep in touch with my family back in the US while im overseas on humanitarian missions. Lately, I have had issues with updating the mobile numbers associated with my account. I have contacted support over 5 times with no response. I am disappointed with the lack of engagement, especially after I have been such a dedicated customer. Hope they can resolve these issues soon for their remaining customers!
5 ★I had to set rebtel to be excluded from battery saving and voila ! Great call with no dropping. My first call was flawless ! Although i did have to switch local off and just use wifi. Rebtel for $10.00 unlimited is the best ! I can add family members phones to my account and share the unlimited service ! Very convenient ! I like this better than other voip because of that.
1 ★both my spouse and i have the rebtel app. we use the text messaging feature. up until last week, we were able to send and receive messages. this week, he is still able to send but the text option on my end no longer shows as an option. i uninstalled and reinstalled with no success.
3 ★I rated the app three stars due to the fact that can't easily call from my regular phone line when I don't want to make use of the app. It feels like Rebtel requires me to use their app even though I sometimes don't want to for international calls. This is irritating because I have to uninstall the app only to make a call on my line.
2 ★Couple years ago, it works good, but it's been a year now that it is very bad. Every time, yes EVERY TIME, not more than 2 minutes talk then it just replay what the other person has talked over and over. End the call and call again, same thing happen every time. This got me angry because it use my money, but no useful conversations for me.
3 ★Very good app, can use on multiple devices no problem. Like the monthly plans. However, the pay as you go price is way to expensive, nearly double what you'd pay if you pay with a phone service provider or mvno. If they fix the pricing a bit and allow calls from two devices at the same time, definitely 5/5 ⭐
