here.am.i™ facilitates simple, private, 'head-up' location sharing.Simple: pre-select a Contact (or two) and share your location with a quick screen tap. Your Contact selections are saved between app uses. Simple.
Private: most location sharing services require you to share your location with their servers before they pass it on to your selected recipients. here.am.i™ shares your location privately, via SMS.
'Head-up': share your location with a quick screen tap. No need to look at the screen - great if you're in the car, out exercising, or anywhere where looking at a screen is not practical or safe. The screen will remain on/active while the app remains open (although the backlight will dim to conserve battery, as per normal).
For a completely hands-free experience, you can enable 'Send On Schedule' for a single Contact. This will send a here.am.i™ SMS at a nominated interval, up to a nominated number of times, even if your phone is asleep. This feature is specifically targeted at drivers and people out exercising (or anyone who doesn't want to be interacting with their device, whilst still letting others know where they are).
