On Android, iLightShow analyzes the music directly from your streaming service (Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and Tidal) to generate stunning light effects. While the microphone is used for initial calibration, the app does not rely on direct microphone input for continuous light syncing.

5 ★Been using the app for 5 years now. Works great with Hue devices and Spotify. It's definitely worth paying for an app thats kept updated and the developer is so quick to respond to questions or queries. March 2025 update with manual strobe is great 👍
5 ★last version was good but this one blows it OUT OF THE PARK. Brilliant especially the strobe effect when beat drops or intensifies
5 ★A true crowd pleaser! I've been using and loving this app for a few years now, and it's always great seeing the reactions of friends/family when my LIFX suddenly sync up with the music. I'm curious, do you have plans to support more platforms in future? With LIFX no longer in Europe, I'm slowly transitioning to TP-Link Tapo lights. It would be great to sync these, too! Keep up the good work 🌟
3 ★Was a great app but has some issues. First issue is I could never get microphone syncing to work. It would not react to audio even after giving microphone access. Second, today it has used 45% of my device battery of background usage. I have not opened the app at all and when I did the sync feature was off. I forced stopped and disabled background usuage in the settings, but the background usage time keeps going up! I will likely need to uninstall to stop battery drain this app is running rouge

1 ★Why would any LIFX user give you a DIME let alone 10 bucks? The visualizer you provide is just as delayed as the one available on the free LIFX app that comes with the light.
3 ★It works great when you are using the app and your phone to stream music. The moment I switch my Spotify stream to my pc, and then open another app. after 10 seconds the lights freeze. Maybe this has to do with Spotify not telling my phone what song it is playing on my pc so it cannot tell the iLightShow app what song it's playing, but it is kind of a bummer. Maybe with some searching I can find how to fix it, if it is fixable. For now I'll have to do with using Spotify on my phone
