Questions & Answers

Q: What is an APK File?

A: Just like Windows (PC) systems use an .exe file for installing software, Android does the same. An APK file is the file format used for installing software on the Android operating system.

Q: If I install an APK from this website, will I be able to update the app from the Play Store?

A: Yes, absolutely. The Play Store installs APKs it downloads from Google's servers, and sideloading from a site like ApkClean.net goes through a very similar process, except you're the one performing the downloading and initiating the installation (sideloading).
As soon as the Play Store finds a version of the app newer than the one you've sideloaded, it will commence an update.

Q: Why ApkClean.net can guarantee APK 100% safe?

A: Whenever someone wants to download an APK file from ApkClean.net, we'll check the corresponding APK file on Google Play and allow user download it directly (of course, we'll cache it on our server). If the APK file does not exist on Google Play, we'll search it in our cache.

Q: What are Android App permissions?

A: Apps require access to certain systems within your device. When you install an application, you are notified of all of the permissions required to run that application.

1 ★No longer seems to support Android. I can only reliably access the sonos via my PC now. App only connects once every 20 attempts. When it does work, it tries to get you to upgrade even though this would make the system incompatible. Seems like they deliberately trashed this to force the upgrade.
1 ★Junk. S1 works on my wife's Apple phone but I can not find Sonos system on my, android based, phone at all. Avoid Sonos at any cost. They give you a system that will work for a couple of years, than they will try to force you to buy new, updated system -big expense! Consider Sonos system to be in a fraud category.
1 ★This is a garbage product, and an attempt to further coral us into subscription services. The only thing that a speaker should have is an auxiliary cable, or other various inputs. I should not need an app for a speaker. I got this thing as a gift, and I hate it, never use it. Throwing it away. NEVER buy SONOS products, they're trash.
1 ★Cannot see / connect to networks to use at work. This application is also powered by Pandora so you might as well just buy that.
3 ★Works okay but no longer "supported" on this 5-year old android device BUT the platform still fully supports and works great on my 14-year-old laptop. Not cool.
1 ★S2 banner advertisement always pops up and does not allow the S1 app to work. The S1 app used to work but Sonos seems to be forcing everyone to update to S2, even though they started they would not.
1 ★Awful. Constantly loses the system. Some phones can see it, whilst others all on the same network can. Constantly trying to force an update to S2 which is not compatible with my speakers. Songs doing a great attempt at bricking over a grand of hardware
1 ★Poor, constantly telling me to update to the S2 app with a banner taking up 20% of the screen, when its not possible as I have 1st Gen. Sonos. Sonos is OK, but had its day, you can't even stream bluetooth. Do your self a favour and buy something else.
1 ★App on the phone won't connect, I've tried several phones, none of them work! But yet the phonos app for the laptop works first time with no issues? Funny that
1 ★Ruined a good thing. I'm still running Gen1 and currently I regret buying the amount of Sonos components I did. Gradually the app quality has been declining and currently it's worthless as most of the system isn't even recognized automatically. I got into the system because of its ease-of-use and quick connectivity. The UI issues have completely obliterated those 2 reasons to get into Sonos. Especially considering the other brands... I hereby apologize to anyone I ever recommended Sonos to.
3 ★Back in early 2020, the leadership of Sonos nearly imploded the company by perversely claiming older speakers were obsolete and forcing hardware upgrades. They had to back-pedal and ended up creating this bifurcated S1 and S2 (now called Sonos app) mess. As long as the S1 is kept updated and my 11 speaker system continues to work as one system, it’s all good but I'll never buy another Sonos product.
1 ★Since sonos started to push S2 it seems like S1 has been intentionally hobbled. Hardly anything works reliably anymore and the incessant reminders to move to S2 equipment is an insult to loyal purchasers of S1 systems. Anyway...avoid. Very buggy.
